To be fair, except for Brazil, he hasn't lit the track on fire. And Williams need cash to improve their car.

He has improved massively in the second half of the season and become a rather consistent racer and qualifier, outpacing Rubens on a few occasions.

However, this has made me lose respect for the Williams team. Hulkenberg is by far a better driver that Maldonado and worth far more in prize money than Maldonado's sponsorship funds and would be a much better asset to them if they want to move back to the front. Stupid, stupid decision.

i agree, but sadly thats the way sport is going with the smaller teams :nono:

Its sad. But money is a lot more important in F1 these days than talent in both cars. And credit to Williams, how many privateers still keeping tabs in F1? It's not easy in there.

Nice sig btw. Loved the Jordans during the Frentzen time.

As said, the chances of Hulkenberg helping to bring significant prize money to the team are higher than Maldonado doing it. €50m is worth more than €10m, and I think the former is what sixth place in the championship yields.

Williams have been losing their plot for a number of years now, so not surprised really...

I tend to agree with you, amazing antics within the team in recent years :( .

his 15th place in qualy in abu dabhi didn't help I guess : P (I don't like the :P smily, no tongue and does not represent the real emoticon, hehehe)

I think it's meant to be a tongue, but it's done really badly.

So much for the "hot air". :(

Yeh its confirmed to be fair mate you were starting to go Nico Rosberg on him before he got the pole he's been distictly average compared to Rubens.

Sorely disapointed. Especially since there is barely anywhere for Hulkenburg to go. Force India? or will that seat be taken by Di Reista. Renault, look likely to keep Petrov. Virgin, bit of a career sucide.

Maldanando will be interesting to watch in f1 next and all. But he was in Gp2 for 4 years. Winning the series was nothing special against a feild of rookies. Hulkenburg was much more deserving of the drive. But money is money, and Williams are sadly short on it with the departure of philps and rbs.
