Definitely well deserved. He did a remarkable comeback.

Its a biatch that he actually allowed the others to get some sparks of possibility, only to come back claim it all to himself... but the truth is: there was nobody faster than Vettel. All season.

Now, all he needs is... learn how to overtake

I think on day 1, Stirling Moss said his bet for the title was Vettel. His favourite was Alonso, but because he had "favourite" odds... Vettel was better money. Next season, better listen to Sir Moss... and avoid a freaking heat attack!!

Unfortunately it's not a perfect weekend for me. On one page in the newspaper I see Vettel Youngest World Champion . Turn over and Chelsea lose 3-0 to Sunderland. AT HOME.

Congrats to SV on a well driven season and a much deserved WDC win.

Can't wait for 2011 - going to be a fantastic season with Ferrari and McLaren both feeling they now have something to prove and will be working harder than ever over the winter to try and match Red Bull. I think 2011 could be better than 2010 (if thats possible)

Did anyone else see the in car row between Alonso and Petrov after the chequered flag - it looked as though Alonso was (aggressively) blaming Petrov for not letting him through - Poor Sportsmanship from FA as petrov was ahead of him on track and had no reason to yield. If Alonso should be annoyed at anybody it should be his team strategists for bringing him in when they did.

All credit to the guy, he nailed it all weekend and i was happy for him in the end, especially when seeing/hearing his reaction.

I guess it goes without saying, but he was ridiculously good in qualifying this season. His pole lap in Australia was memorable for me, he really attacked the lap and had one huge moment in the last sector, it was just brilliant to watch:

That was a TENSE RACE!! and Fernando Alonso didn't win the title!!
Well done Mclaren 2-3 also - nice end to the season for them and 2nd in contructors!!

I am a big fan of Schumacher brothers n i always root for a german driver.. cynically, if only the other Force India who causing the 1st lap accident, then it will be a perfect german conspiracy.. The german of sutil hit the german of schumacher making the german of rosberg changing his pitstop strategy which preventing alonso from his minimum 4th position thus give the driver championship to the german of vettel..

Anyway congratulations Vettel n the Blue Reds..

The Red Bull has been a mean machine all season. Seeing this qualy lap as well as many others and much of inboard cam view you could see the car ran smooth as silk and they hardly had to do any corrections.

Adrian Newey made Red Bull a beast indeed.

Simply amazing, nobody would have guested at the begining of the season he would win, nobody would have thought that he would have won after all the accidents, but he did!!!!!!

I'm late to the party so everything has probably already been said, I hope it's sunk in to Vettel by now that he's the 2010 WDC and he's joined the F1 royal court.

it was a phenomenal podium seeing the last 3 champions all there, couldn't have been scripted better. Congratulations to Sebastian Vettel; champion.
