Change 'beat' for 'matched' and it's even more accurate and less likely to provoke WWIII.

A common misconception. If Alonso had finished 5th in Abu Dhabi, he'd be tied with Vettel on points but Vettel would still claim the World Championship.

Lewis beat Alonso, an accurate statement for 2007. Not by very much, granted.

He beat more than one defending World Champion, true and he beat a 3x WDC instead of the measly 2x WDC LH did, true - nothing to call home about or put in a signature though
