so yeah his first season back wasnt the greatest, but it could be for a lot of reasons.

what does everyone think next year will bring him? and mercedes?

does he have a chance to be up there again?

I think next year he will do better as he would have a better opportunity to put more feedback into the team during the development of the car and get it designed a bit better so it feels good when he drives it also Brawn were fighting for the championship til the end in 2009 so the car for 2010 did not start being developed until the end of last season so they will have longer to make it also.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, they have been developing the car for a while now, but, RBR were also fighting till the end of 2009 and look where they started..

but brawn said that the whole team was going through changes because of the new brand and all.

now they are settled, could they do it?

RBR had more money thou and there car designer is just amazing and finds so many shortcuts that no one else would ever think of

Brawn did not really have much money thou and it was their first season. They could do it but you never know best thing to do it to wait until winter testing then we shall find out

I'll take a wild stab and guess that Mercedes will move up the pecking order to be at the pointy end of the grid regularly, and I'm basing that on mercedes' history after joining with McLaren. They do have money. That'll give MS better opportunity to perform the sudden sideways lunges into the sides of his rivals that have been his calling card since 1991. They've served him well.

I still think if a car is developed to suit Schumacher's style, he is perfectly capable of being a strong frontrunner. I don't think he's capable of being as dominant as he was 6-10 years ago, but then it would be ludicrous to think that in now his 40's he could be. Realistically I do think he is capable of competing for the championship, and certainly race wins given the equipment, which is a measure of the man given that as we all know and I just said, he is indeed in his 40's. I genuinely think that anybody who writes him off before seeing how he runs in a car he's helped to develop (which is not the case with the 2010 car) from the beginning (i.e. next season) is incredibly naive.

Too each their own but I find it rather difficult to understand why Schumacher is being labeled the same driver as he was 26yr's ago.

If they build the car to suit him unlike the tailored-to-suit-Button car he could be one to watch. Barbie will then be in trouble.

he did do it this year, to be fair.

Well that was rather annoying to witness for me aswell but we have also seen other drivers do the same, he's just always labeled as a cheat and it gets rather annoying. I'll go put on my flame suit ok :D .

I sure hope he comes back, and I'm pretty sure he will. He won't leave F1 again without a win, is my guess.

Next year could be cool, if Mercedes and Renault catch up to the top 6.

I really like Schumacher and Rosberg as a team as well, I hope they continue. Rosberg is a bit underrated IMO.
