It's strange, redbull have had the fastest car all season but its been them handing chances to others. Last race and Ferrari have a car perfectly capable of 4th, but they blow it.

Pit stops of Alonso and Webber killed me.The biggest mistake of Ferrari,maybe?I feel so bad now i cant even say anything about the race.For the next week i will try not to remember it.Now just gonna read a book i dont actually want to because i have to read it.If you are upset by Vettel's championship-cant believe i am typing that- try to go this way......

I'm SURE that Lewis would never do something like that to another driver who did his job correctly. Lewis can bitch and moan in the team radio and say something bad to the press later on but really, has he ever done something like this to another driver?

Its tit for tat on this forum between the Hamilton or Alonso haters. In fact most of the front runner drivers have their haters who will always find something to criticize them for. Some will have more good reason than others of course.

Haha!! This is fantastic, he loses the WDC and proves YET AGAIN what a major p**** he is. Wow this keeps getting better and better!!!

Vettel should thank Schumacher.

Disagree, he should thank himself, the team for giving him that car, for keeping his moral up and supporting him particularly after Turkey, Mark Webber in a way. And Chris Dyer I guess, for pitting Alonso.

Today just shows that anyone can lose the championship like this. If for example Lewis would have been in the position of Alonso today people would've counted this as another choke where he breaks under pressure. Alonso lost very much in the start and after that it was bad tactics etc. F1 is a game where you can not speculate. Everyone can lose at some point

I'm not a Vettel fan but all credit to the man for doing what was required at the right time, he came strong at the right time, well done Sebastian Vettel! Great race from McLaren to finish 2nd and 3rd; strong race from Rosberg. Kubica and particularly Petrov, the Russian has done a lot to prove that he is upto the challenge of F1 and may well have saved his Renault seat; although he could find himself in a Virgin next season since it now has Russian interest! Mark Webber will be disappointed being usurped by his younger team mate who hadn't led the F1 drivers championship until today! I'm waiting for the comments about conspiracy against Webber, Red Bull gave him a lower powered engine etc.

Who else feels this was the most boring let down?

With so many drivers contending for the championship it should have had us on the edge of our seats but no, once the early shuffle of positions was over it was just another procession rather than a race, something desperately needs to be done about the aerodynamics dominating the handling of the cars, it was just insane watching faster drivers in clearly faster cars sitting behind roadblocks and not being able to do anything to overtake!

This should have been a showdown between at least 4 drivers but again it seems if you get in front in the first few laps then you can, without mechanical failure, go on to win the race, Yawn.

What an anti climax
