The commentation on SPEED mentioned something about him having an engine with only practice or qualifying miles on it, maybe I am wrong?

They were probably referring to the Bahrain qualifying unit - quite alot of news articles have been mentioning this. However, the fact is that the Bahrain qualifying unit expired way back in China, and Alonso is using an engine that already did Interlagos and Monza. Webber is using an engine that did Singapore and Suzuka. Vettel is using an engine that did Suzuka only.

Won't it be great if the Ferrari judders to a halt 5 laps before the end due to the engine/gearbox letting go....sigh.

Hamilton is a nighmare to pass except for fernando. For some reason hamilton has made huge mistakes when having Alonso behind. For this race anyways hamilton's biggest fan will we Alonso

It's amazing what poor sports some people are. Who in their right mind sits there wanting to see someone's engine blow up? I want to see on-track racing action and the best driver winning.

Why wouldnt Webber be angry? He should have been pole or second, instead hes fifth! Do you really think that RedBull is stupid enough to put the driver that is most likely to win the championship in a worse situation than one who needs everyone else to do bad to win?

Remind me to never take you seriously ever again, he didnt once mention Mclaren, and he asked a reasonable question, he didnt say its foul play, he asked our opinions, and you acted ultra-immature and shot down a decent post to suffice your hard on for hating Mclaren. Your hatred makes me laugh so hard sometimes, not least because you once told me you were once a Lewis Hamilton fan.... No chance of believing that when all you do is berate Mclaren/Hamilton and their respective fans. Wouldn't you be angry with yourself if, in the most crucial qualifying session of your career, you only managed fifth behind all your title rivals when your team-mate put the car on pole? Webber needs to finish ahead of Alonso and not allow Vettel to win the race. From where he is, with the non-contending Button and the outsider Hamilton both ahead of him, he faces a tough challenge.

Yeah, I'd be pretty mad at that, too.

Ferrari beat Fernando ultimately, poor strategy from Ferrari and frankly Alonso wasn't decisive enough to overtake Petrov, the Ferrari is clearly faster than the Renault yet Alonso didn't make it happen or even make a serious attempt to get past Petrov, I'm happy that he lost the title to save all the bellyaching about those seven points!

Also McLaren were unable to beat the Renault. They had the better configuration for top speed in this track, so... it was impossible to catch them.
