Its a wise choice to keep any form of name calling out of it, and certainly stereotyping posters nationalities. Things will get hot enough tomorrow without any help!!

I'll try :) I have the wine chilling to help!!

Strangely enough Alonso wants Lewis Hamilton to win the race; does Alonso not think he can remain in third? regardless of what anyone else does; Alonso needs third as long as Webber is behind, judging by qualifying Webber doesn't have the pace; it'll be difficult to win from fifth at Abu Dhabi!

As he said it: Anyone who takes 25 pts off the Red Bulls is welcome.

Well its a logical thought. Alonso cant risk all to winthe race , so it would be nice if someone else did it for him (other than a red bull of course).

Ive lost the plot on all the scenarios of what happens if etc. I hope they have some good mathematicians to keep us informed through the race.

But it's also an indicator that Alonso doesn't have faith that he has a car capable of finishing on the podium in Abu Dhabi!

He's been refusing to talk about his personal chances or aims etc, he's just being purely logical. He's probably already decided that he won't be attacking to win the race. But he doesn't need Vettel to win if he remains third, but I guess every little helps?

It means Alonso doesn't want to rely on him finishing third, he would like the extra help.

I think he is going to need it; he needed to be on the absolute ragged edge to get ahead of Webber, I can't see Vettel having another failure and the McLaren simply isn't quick enough to win the race on pure pace, a lot could happen but Alonso's "podium, podium, podium" philosophy to win the championship is looking iffy!

Is it? I thought its looking bang on, as long as it isn't a redbull 1-2 or Webber leading which both look quite unlikely, a podium gets Alonso the title.

Webber has to go through Button first, then he has to find a way past Alonso.

Its an incicator that Alonso acknowledges he doesnt NEED to win, and would actually do better and get some leeway with anyone except a Red Bull winning.
In other words...... if a RB doesnt win, he'll only have to coast to the finish and worry a lot less about his position.
