I dont understand this penalty suggestion. Massa nearlty crashed into lewis and Lewis took a bollard out avoiding him. How can that be Lewis' fault? He hasnt got eyes in the back of his head!

Other than that. Impressed with Vettel. As someone else said what a shame that engine blew. Cruel luck. I know he's made some errors but they all have.Im thinking now he's the most deserving of the top three. Webber's kindof blown it in these last two races........but its not over yet.

Lewis was going slowly, and off the racing line going into the corner, it looked like he was conceding position. He decided to speed up going through the corner.

But thats exactly what it looked like!! That wasnt arrogance that was disbelief!! Yes they have mirrors, they arent much use especially in situations where you wouldnt expect a car to be comiing. ( Incidently before Im misquoted, No I dont think Massa tried to take him out at all)

No not arrogance just trying to cover up his mistake.Sorry racechick I'm a Lewis fan as well but he should of either been on the pace or looking in his mirrors and keeping out of the way.
But as no damage was done (apart from the bollard) hopefully it will be a slap on the wrist only.

Massa was on a fast lap, and Lewis was running an aborted lap due to a mistake.... Lewis was supposed to not interfere with Massa. I guess he was surprised, as it was a difficult place to concede possition... but Lewis should have conceded position. How exactly? i dont know hehe

But if he didnt know Massa was there...............
He hadnt qualified at that point so was concentrating on doing so.
If Massa mistook his intentions that can hardly be lewis' fault.

Well he did concede position as soon as he realised the situation. He conceded it by going the only way he could, off the track and in to a bollard. He risked his own car.

Well, Lewis should've known Massa was there, its his responsibility to if he's going that slowly, he should be aware of drivers coming up behind him, no? It's Lewis's fault for driving un predictably,.

Well common sense prevails. I must say, on the whole the stewards are much better this year!

Really? from what i saw, Massa was on a flying... if Massa was on an out lap, then there'll probably be no penalty. but if Massa was on a hot lap, then maybe some investigation... the thing is, it seemed Lewis had nowhere to go to give Massa room and allow him by. So perhaps Lewis will get no penalty in the end, not because he "couldn't have been aware of the situtation" but quite probably because there was nowhere to go.
