but this season makes the 26th time in F1 history that the WDC have gone down to the final race. But I doubt there ever has been a season finale when four drivers still were in mathematical contention for WDC.
The top teams have all been continually evolving their cars like never before. With all the tweaks to the front brake ducts, the F-duct and the blown shadow diffuser, some of the pundits claim the fastest cars now are 2 seconds a lap faster than the setup they ran at Bahrain.
And the human factor has been so important. Mental errors from the drivers
and the pit wall have prevented any one driver being dominant.
