I doubt Alonso will win the title but obviously it would be extremely nice if he did. Anyway if he does win it, I hope he wins it by less than 7 points just to make everyone else look like absolute idiots for not using team orders themselves.

why isit a lot of ferrari fans are actually hoping its less then 7 points, maybe alonso fans care more about having ammunition to piss off other fans then the integrity of their titles or of course the support of their team. he is a deserving champion if he wins it or doesnt but to actually hope he wins it vy less then 7 with rhe reason being: " to see the reaxtion of so and so" is quite pitiful. Hope you lot are only saying it ro windthe mclaren lewis fanboys up, itd be quite worrying id you truly meant it!

I'm hoping that, if Alonso does win that it is less than 7 points just so to see the reaction of people like yourself and to further make people like yourself look even more silly for not believing that it is a team sport and team orders are part of racing. :hehe:

Let's not ave a drivers title then.

For me, the WCC is the award for the overall performance of both cars within the team. The WDC is the award for the team with the best performing single car. Personally I rate the WCC higher, but, as I said, that's just a personal thing.

Both awards are important and, IMO both require a team effort to win.

For the teams, the WCC is more important than the WDC. Ferrari have been concentrating on only the WDC because Massa is useless and thus Ferrari were out of the WCC quite a while ago.

If Alonso doesn't walk away from Abu Dhabi with a WDC, Ferrari will have little to show for this year. The pressure has to be immense. So just based on that he'd be deserving of the title should he get it.

So that Massa can be a hero too :)

that literally made me LOL, i hope he wins it ( if he does, id rather vettelnwebber or hamilton did lol) by more then 7 so that the fanboys dont start frothing at the mouth with arguing in the off season about how "tainted" it is. looking so much forward to it now! by the way
to those talking avout keyboards, im on my ipod half the time so apologies if my posts dont resemble the works of chaucer

To be honest, right now... whoever wins it will be super deserved. Vettel/Webber despite the faster car the "throw-aways", they were under huge pressure and made some mistakes, but did very well. And Fernando because of the massive turn to form and credible challenge he was able to mount on the faster car and more than just a couple solid drivers....

Hmmm yeah. The pressure is big. Considering also he's getting paid A LOT. His teammate is not doing too well and so he's sort of carrying the whole team... and of course the team put its hands in fire at Germany in support of his WDC run.

But I would say Webber and Vettel are under similar pressure. Vettel maybe the least... he's young, has already proven he's strong, is in a position to "help" the team and already has team support. So, right now Webber and Alonso are the ones with the big heads and bitten fingernails (big head in the sense of... their heads feeling heavy from all the stuff going through their minds).

That's what its all about......
so

The Breakdown:
http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2 ... 11509.html

Alonso (246 points) will be champion if:
- he finishes first or second
- he finishes third, fourth or fifth, and neither Webber nor Vettel win
- he finishes sixth, with Webber no higher than third and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes seventh or eighth, with Webber no higher than fourth and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes ninth, with Webber no higher than fifth and Vettel no higher than third
- he finishes 10th, with Webber no higher than sixth and Vettel no higher than third
- he fails to score, with Webber no higher than sixth, Vettel no higher than third and Hamilton failing to win
If no rivals score? Alonso is champion

Webber (238) will be champion if:
- he wins, with Alonso no higher than third
- he finishes second, with Alonso no higher than sixth and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes third, with Alonso no higher than seventh and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes fourth, with Alonso no higher than ninth and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes fifth, with Alonso no higher than tenth and Vettel failing to win
If no rivals score? Webber must finish fifth or higher to become champion

Vettel (231) will be champion if:
- he wins, with Alonso no higher than fifth
- he finishes second with Alonso no higher than ninth and Webber no higher than fifth
If no rivals score? Vettel must finish second or higher to become champion

Hamilton (222) will be champion if:
- he wins, with Alonso failing to score, Webber no higher than sixth and Vettel no higher than third.
If no rivals score? Hamilton must win to become champion

Deadlock: in theory, Alonso, Webber and Vettel could finish level on points at the top - a result of Vettel winning, Webber second and Alonso fifth in Abu Dhabi would give them 256 points apiece. Vettel and Alonso would have five wins each, two second places each and three third places each. Vettel would then be champion based on his three fourth places to Alonso’s two.

Fernando is not deserving, he should only be 1 point up right now not 8! Its a farse of sport that he is 8 ahead!

Every team uses team orders, every team is capable of using them. Ferrari did so, and it worked out.

Hekki moved over for Hamilton didn't he? No, it only counts when Ferrari do it and not Mclaren doesn't it?

FRAFPDD: " he is a deserving champion if he wins it or doesnt", tick me off your abuse list, cause it doesnt bother me incrimentally, great driver, great season. I suppose this is actually physically hurting you that a Hamilton fan also likes Alonso

Oh yeah and in another thread FRAFPDD: " team orders are an integral part of F1, they should just ban the rule and if people dont like it then thats tough"
