Yep, I'm definitely feeling the McLaren brotherly love now.

When Jenson was asked who he'd like to see win the WDC at AD:-
"I don't care," he told reporters. "It doesn't make any difference to me."

:hehe:

Yeah out of Webber, Vettel and Alonso he doesnt care... whats your point?

hehe.
His (Jenson's) point is that if he's not winning it, it makes no difference to him. A very valid point. Nothing strange there.

That's not his point...is it spanko?

Exactly. There is another driver with a chance. Some might say its a "mathematical" chance only, but wasn't it barely a week ago that Jenson was pointing out that a "mathematical" chance was real enough. And, even though his team mate still has a chance he "doesn't care" who wins???

Doesn't seem to me like something a "best team mate" would say.

If you contrast his attitude to Lewis at the start of the year its obvious there has been some change, maybe hes becoming sour? Realizing that people were right when saying he wouldnt be able to match Lewis? Or maybe he can see the team is giving Lewis a bit of weightage which isnt 100% apparent to those not directly involved in the team.

Yeah thats what I thought you meant. Twisting words or photos around again to suit your anti McLaren agenda...Typical of you.

I almost agreed with you there spanky, Jenson wasn't supporting Lewis for the title despite being in a worse position, but Lewis has counted himself out, so its a fair thing to say. Mind you I'm sure its mostly disappointing he's not in it, I'm sure he has some opinion on the remaining title challengers.

Lewis hasn't counted himself out hes still in contention its just going to take alot for him to win.

Ok, I was going by this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 165083.stm
Hamilton told the BBC: "If we're not quick enough here, we won't be quick enough in Abu Dhabi."

"You can' t win with a car that isn't fast enough. Right now we just have to focus on getting points for the constructors' championship."

won the drivers' world championship in Brazil last year [with Brawn], and I lost it here this year, but all in all, it's been a pretty good season," said Button.
"It was a learning year, and good practice for next year: I firmly believe we can really build on this for the 2011 season.
"Lewis can still win the drivers' world championship - but the top three drivers will have to fare badly for it to happen, so I guess it'll be difficult for him.

What the hell are we arguing about here? If Jenson says he would prefer Lewis to win the WDC I would think he was gay!

Lewis is his teammate, and hes the last person Jenson would want to see crowned WDC this year. It's pure logic!!!

Best teammates = Most effective teammates. Right? Not brotherly love or lovers or anything like that.

McLaren by far. The team has no right being a comfortable 2nd in the WCC, but they are because of 2 very reliable drivers who have carried the car in some races this year, and haven't come in each others way significantly. Redbull have hurt themselves, and Ferrari has 1 driver who doesn't give a sh** anymore as he knows the team doesn't give a sh** about him.

End of.

Thought it was obvious.
I think in one of your early posts on this thread you said they were best team mates because they were "friends".
Not the sort of thing a friend, let alone a team mate would say really.
