The FIA has gone back and switched pionts and standing after a race, the only reason they dont do it this time is because it is Ferrari.

I only want to to see Red Bull switch driver if the Ferrari team do it first. If Alonso wins it fairly i have no problem with it, Congradulations Alonso

When did they do that? and what were the circumstances?

Abu Dhabi will be very interesting, if Vettel and Webber switch to hand Webber the title, although it's clearly not a team order; Horner has said that he will not order Vettel to move aside for Webber but Vettel will do the right thing; similar to Germany when Massa allowed Alonso to pass of his own accord... ahem!!! I would love for Webber to win because his team mate allowed him to pass; what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I read it on one of the post race reports on wikipedia

If i remeber correctly Rubens and Micheal had points switched around on different races while they both raced for Ferrari.

I am not refering to the most memorable team order with those 2

The results did not effect the WDC or even come close

Didn't they shuffle around points at one point this year?

I'm not saying it didn't happen but I've always had the impression the FIA can't do that and don't remember it being done. I'm pretty sure it's not happened this year though a few people called for it after Monaco. The only times I can think of that the positions have been changed after a race have been when a time penalty or disqualification have been given. Got any link or other info on it?

Brazilian GP 03 comes to mind: Kimi got the trophy on the podium and all, but it turned out that Fisi was in the lead (or the lap before to be precise) when the race was red flagged due to the carnage on the straight. Kimi had to send the trophy to Fisi some time later.

Or like Dawali said, red flag infractions.

I hope they would change the points in those cases

But it is way to late in the season to expect that, not to mention the damage it would do to Alonso's title contentions

* No links i just remember reading it while looking through wikipedia one day, i click on every link i read over

But that was because they did a mistake and considered the wrong lap to the final standings, right? I don't think they've ever changed positions to nullify the effect of team orders, at least that I know of.

Not sure how this relates to thread, but, the podium ceremony is pretty much always before the RD give the final decision. They have to complete the Technical Report (cars need to be weighed measured sampled etc) and also the Stewards Report(s) need to be completed. They write a "Race Classification" document which the stewards of the meeting and the time keeper sign.
