Wow. Jenson managed to finish RIGHT behind Lewis in Brazil.
I dont know how he does it. I guess F1 is more about weird stuff than just being or appearing fast.

This is what I mean by wait until he end of the race, Jenson finished 1 place behind Lewis. Was going to leap frog him had Mclaren not been smart enough to pit Lewis early, also could have got Lewis had he stayed out when the safety car came out. Wondered why Mclaren pitted Jenson, I suspect that was to keep him behind Lewis.

I suspected that too since Lewis needed 4th to stay in the hunt but my McLaren bias stopped me from admitting it.

Yeah he did pretty well considering he didnt qualify in the top ten didnt he. Good drive jens I'd say!!

Jenson is just a good strategist,,,That's what I like about him...Unfortunately, he's not that good of a racer compared to lewis.....

Does anyone know what happened with McLaren today? Their car was a pile of heap for the 1st half of the race..and 5 laps from the end it comes alive and starts setting consecutive fastest laps. Whats the deal here?

I was annoyed with Lewis too, non stop bit*ching on the radio about tyres and F-duct and what not. I guess it was pure frustration seeing his car was a pile of crap (The Hulk could easily keep him behind) but it annoyed me nonetheless. Lewis did his maximum though but McLarens big talk of "upgrades this upgrades that" is all just hot air it seems.

Lewis and Jenson pitted for fresh tyres, but spent a big deal of time passing that miserable train of cars that Sutil had the gentleness of forming. I'd assume once they got in fresh air and got in a steady rythm, they'd naturally be the fastest cars in the circuit. Also, they were not that far off the pace as it may seem - the differences in the front were mostly based on how long did they take to pass the Hulk. Jenson leapfrogged a bunch of cars, so he was in a good pace really.

I think lewis just couldnt believe how badly his car was responding and wanted clarifying (with the Fduct if there was a problem). With the tyres he would need to tell the teamcos itsounded to me like he needed anothedr pit stop...as was borne out in the safet car period. Jens too.

two great drivers who both done well this season despite not having the fastest car and hopefully they're car will be better next year to really challenge the red bull and the ferrari!

Really? I saw the McLaren to be pathetic at the start of the race..there was no WAY Alonso could've overtaken Lewis if the car was at least competitive. For God's sake Michael overtook Button during the first 5 laps or so! Those opening laps it looked like the McLarens tyres were stored in freezers and just taken out before the lights went out!

It's kind of odd, generally I think if the car's working well it's pretty even between them but if the handling's not so good then Hamilton can get more out of it. It didn't really seem like that in Brazil though, Button was terrible in quali but managed the race much better and I wouldn't be surprised if Button had let Hamilton come out the pits in front of him.

It was fast on new tyres but could only keep up with Ferraris pace by burning it's tyres out quickly, still all tyre related issues instead of a badly handling car though so maybe why Button was able to manage the race a bit better than Hamilton.

McLaren could've brought Lewis in much earlier as he was complaining about no grip in his tyres, but they could see he was still gaining time on Jenson with those tyres and kept him out till he built the gap back up to make it in front.

I think it was the other way around, Jenson was gaining on Lewis because of his unhappy tires and they decided that if they kept him out any longer Jenson might get too close for comfort so they decided to pull Lewis in so that the gap he had created could be put to use.

Jenson was gaining on Lewis? Nothing wrong with that, it only means its time for Lewis to change tyres too. I mean Lewis was on his super softs for 10 more laps than JB, he had to change them at some point.

The time when Alonso overtook Hamilton that was all down to the car. If one watched the electronic timing closely, one could see that Alonso's Ferrari was already front of the Mclaren of Hamilton before the finish line.
