I think whatever happens to his relationship/career with McLaren will be a mutual decision and not a one sided push out the door.

Ron nor Martin will let him go without a fight unless as you mentioned it is a onesided push.

I think he's just trying to readdress his relationship with Alonso, now their both around the same competitiveness again, they're racing alongside more often now.

The pics are just about jealsury from Lewis :hehe: Only kidding, he's just seeing whats going on etc. Pretty sure they all do it. Kimi probably didn't, but he's not around anymore.

I highly doubt there would be anything Alonso could do to stop Ferrari from signing Lewis. Surely there isn't anything in Alonso's contract like what Prost had with Williams in 93. Lewis & Alonso were not ramming each other off the track, they were more professional than that.

If I was Ferrari I would be looking towards Kubica to be honest to fill that second seat.

Alonso/Kubica, that is a dream team line up right there.

Why would he want to go to Ferrari??

At the moment you mean right? I'm sure numerous reasons could be mentioned and in all reality, if you want to admit it or not, I doubt there is not one single driver on the grid who would not like to return to them or drive for them. Just because you despise Ferrari or the thought of your beloved Hamilton driving for your archenemy in all reality you should know by now that ANYTHING is possible in F1 :) .

I'm not taking a personal jab at your opinion though and hope you see that. As I mentioned previously I cannot see this happening anytime soon but the thought is not beyond becoming a reality.

Nah its ok I know you're not taking a jab. I agree anything's possible. So yes it might. But I think it highly unlikely. I think you're wrong about wanting to drive for Ferrari. Lewis would much prefer to beat them. I think Lewis's ideal scenario would be in a McLaren thats fast but maybe not the class of the field, good enough and then let him make the difference. just my opinion of course

If he was going to Ferrari it wouldn't be made this obvious.

Because Alonso would get upset.

Kiki (me for those who don't know) going for McLaren.......uh we all know that wont happen, just as we all know that Hamilton wont go to Ferrari. Especially with Alonso there. Although Lewis Hamilton does speak Italian. I guess in that regards he is quite smart.

Alonso and Webber a known to be good friends.

Webber to Ferrari
Massa to Williams with his Brazilian buddy
Lewis to RBR
Kubica to McLaren
Hulkenburg to Renault

That would spice things up a bit!

think about it, it would be career suicide for Lewis to go to Ferrari, Alonso is already well embedded in the team and they love Alonso at Ferrari.

He's Ex-McLaren so it would take time for Lewis to be liked there. Alonso would have the 2011 car Designed around him so Lewis might struggle to adapt.

If all goes well and he beats alonso and wins the WDC and WCC for ferrari then its a good move.

But there's so much that can go wrong.

This story comes around every time Ferrari do well and McLaren is on the slight backfoot, just because Lewis is looking at the Ferrari garage (something McLaren engineers try to do all the time) and has been asked a few questions by a reporter that could be taken in any context dosn't mean hes going to leave McLaren.

There's more chance of me driving for Ferrari than Hamilton going to Maranello, Hamilton has it too cushy at McLaren, he's the McLaren golden boy like Vettel at Red Bull!

Isn't that exactly what he had this year? He was far ahead on championship points until his series of crashes. He has had a competitive car. He couldn't have led the championship by so much if that were not so. The driver did make the difference. He threw it away.
