The stories about Hamilton courting an invitation from Ferrari just won't seem to go away.
What's more, Lewis is doing and saying things to keep interest in the story.

Another article has appeared in the Guardian with some very interesting quotes from Lewis. You can read the complete article here:-
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/nov/06/nico-hulkenberg-brazilian-grand-prix-qualifying
I have provided the main text of the article below the pictures.

Having allowed himself to be photographed in Korea like this:-
Image

He and his minders would have been acutely aware of how that picture circulated throughout the media worldwide and the associated comments. No sooner than the very next race, here in Brazil, he allows himself to be pictured again in the same pose:-

Add now we have this new Guardian article. Here are some quotes:-
Hamilton said: "I think we are so much stronger now to be able to deal with it. I have no problems having him as a team-mate. I am happy with the way I have things now. It's fantastic but I don't think it's impossible for us."

Hamilton is happy at McLaren. But that will only remain the case as long as the team continues to produce a competitive car. McLaren have won just three drivers' world championships in the two decades since the late Ayrton Senna's last title in 1991. Ferrari have picked up six in that time.

The chances of Hamilton and Alonso working alongside each other at Ferrari are still remote because Alonso runs the show at the Scuderia. He sees himself as the No1 driver in any team he drives for, and that is certainly the case now, as Felipe Massa takes a subservient role.

Hamilton added: "I wouldn't be the Massa side of the team and I wouldn't expect him to be the Massa side of the team either. I would want us to be equal as they are here [at McLaren]. At the end of the day Fernando has proved that he is one of the best drivers here. You say that we are all great drivers but he is one of the top, top drivers. One of the best.

"You are going to be very hard put to put someone next to him and find they beat him through raw talent. He definitely deserves it [a third world title]. He has come a long way. He drives for a great team and has achieved an incredible amount so you have to give him his dues."

Alonso and Hamilton at Ferrari? Won't see that happening

I don't know why Ferrari don't get Kubica tho. Kubica and Alonso actually get along (Wow **** Alonso gets along with someone). Kubica and Alonso are fantastic drivers and they could easily go 1-2 in the championship

It's not really high on the likelihood stakes, I have to agree on that one.

But reading some of the things Lewis is saying about Fernando, well, they are the sorts of things "team mates" say about each other.

"At the end of the day Fernando has proved that he is one of the best drivers here. You say that we are all great drivers but he is one of the top, top drivers. One of the best."

It's a matter of perspective how you look at his words. I see it as slightly cocky, as the bolded section is something he has achieved and it's never easy to achieve he says. :D

And I see nothing where Lewis is interested in Ferrari. Pure media bulls*it and twisting pictures/words to start something out of nothing. Thread creator would make a fantastic journalist.

When Hamilton began his racing career as a young boy in carting competitions he was approached by Mclaren and has been inspired, nurtured and developed by them. He is the first person to admit he owes them a lot. I don't believe that he would openly rub Mclarens faces in it by blatently courting a team that is so obviously Mclarens oldest rivals and where he would be partnering Alonso of all people, I think the pictures show a driver who wants to regain a world title desperately trying to gain any information he can that may give him an edge over Alonso on race day!

Exactly..there's so many intepretations of all these things, this thread is like 1 big lie. But good example of journalism technique. :D

Hamilton may be pretending to be interested in Ferrari to give him a stronger hand in contract negotiations with McLaren.

Or to motivate his own team to achieve higher than Ferrari.

Or just maybe he is doing what Schumacher was famous for, checking out the main competition to see how they operate/spy on bits of their car.

The pics mean nothing. Alonso did the same to Red Bull's car near the beggining of the season....

Other than that... i dont mind Hamilton in Ferrari or any other team. I doubt he would go to Ferrari, but who knows. And yeah, like he said I think both have gotten stronger after their season and probably would have a better season if they were ever to be teammates. Which i doubt.

Ferrari would do better with Kubica and Alonso for the time being though... and Lewis has no better home than Mclaren, but like everyone does (grow and change), I think someday he will grow and want different things. I guess i'll worry about that when and if it does happen.
