I'm still speechless. Try to explain it all you like, but that was just magic from Hulkenburg. Just as Vettel made in mark at Monza 2008, you have to think we could see a new star rising. Williams can not switch drivers next year. Hulkenburg and Barrichello are bringing this team up to scratch I say.

I also just did a little check, cause I was a little confused looking at the best sector times. If Vettel had done all of his fastest sectors on the same lap, he'd only have been about 4 tenths of Hulkenburg rather than a second. Still a tribute to Hulkenburg considering that he did purple sector after purple sector. My mind is still just blown. He easily wins pole posistion of the year.

I think the Hulk and Button should exchange cars. One deserves it much more than the other.

as in Pulp Fiction they said "Let's not start duckling each others' d*cks quite yet". I'm not taking anything away from Hulkenberg today, he was class of its own but we have to look at the big picture, Barrichello has twice the points he has atm.

I would say that is down to a combination of bad luck and lack of experience, bad luck being Suzuka (as one example) and lack of experience...well we all saw Monaco.

[quote="texasmr2"]Predictions since they seem to be par for the course :hehe: .

1. The Hulk makes a fantastic start.
2. Vettel takes out Webberat T1 trying to compensate for such a poor start .
3. Hamilton uses that to his advantage to take the lead from The Hulk.
4. Alonso stalks Hamilton close enough to either pass him on track or in the pits and secures the WDC.

Hey it could happen :hehe: !

Hey, If this happens I'll send you x amount of $$ :D:D

Button needs to get driving lessons for changeable weather conditions. When he doesn't have the window to gamble with different tyres/setups, he's rubbish.

If someone told me Hulkenburg would be on pole today, I'd have said the exact same thing. Then sorely regretted it

Stranger things have happened.

Nice one of Nico Hülkenberg - to think this young gun is fighting to stay in F1 and his future with Williams is still not secured :banghead:

It's not for the want of trying, word is that they want to give him a 5 year contract and either drop Barrichello, or 'loan' Maldonaldo out for a bit.

Yes, it's crazy. Williams' driver line-up should not even be in question. What they have right now is solid, they just need to focus on building a great car.

 they've been solid all yr, with a couple of really good performances spiking out at some races.

But perhaps it all depends on how much $ are Williams able to come with to stay in next yr.

alonso coming fifth is the best thing for this forum, now the premature 3 time wdc talk might be put on ice for a while.

He qualified 5th not finished 5th  , looked like he bottled it though, I reckon he had the pace,

Congrulations Hulkenburg, I think we're in for a race,

What are the odds on the redbull drivers driving into each other?

Yah yah yah only because you prefer the premature Hamilton WDC talk, I can tell you what the best thing for this forum would be but I'm not a hater.....

You mean considering... Hulkenberg got a pole, Massa got almost bumped out of Q and Button did get bumped out........
Get a grip on yerself.

I don't want to belittle Nico's feat...that was a great pole position, but we should remember that he put his slick tires way before the other drivers...so he got a considerable heat in his tires wich made him faster afterwards...
