:hehe: It's hard to keep the best man out of a thread, even when it doesn't concern him. :thumbup:

Jeez you should be posting on Lewis's website and not here :banghead: !

It had evolved into one before I'd posted here! Anyway, is there a Lewis website?? Where?

Here's one: http://www.lewishamiltonsucks.com/2008/ ... ilton.html:twisted::P

:rofl::rofl::clap::thumbup:

Anyway, Alonso's made some neat overtakes, Australia, Sliverstone and Spa I can remember some good ones, maybe even Malaysia as well?

His main strength is probably his consistency, yeah he's made lots of mistakes this season, but I think those were out of character, look at how his driven since Spa, that also ties in with him somehow cooling his head when the title race draws to a close despite losing it a few times earlier on in the season.

I think he's also a great blocker, again down to his consistency and calmness.

And he's got the ability to work with a wide range of strategy, he can aggressively push to leap frog a driver in the pit window and he can save tyres.

Alson his ability in team leadership and techincal feedback

He didn't bring up Hamilton, it was brought in to s*** stir

I didn't say he brought him up, (err in terms of this thread, not in the parenting sense), but he wouldn't let go.

Come on, you must've laughed at that joke, and I don't feel guilty about it, he talked himself into it.

Far as i know this thread's about real greats: alonso and senna.
So, please lets leave the children and wannabe's for when a suitable discussion arises.

This is the initial post that started leading this thread away from the original topic of discussion yet its par for the course for him :yes: .
I think Hammer278 is faster than Senna on a wet track
- Hammer278.

Why is it that 99.99% of the threads turn into a Hamilton discussion?? :yawn:

No disrespect to the Hamilton fans/lambs but you know I'm right :yes::wink: .

Tex the first person to mention Hamilton on this thread was a Ferrari Fan.

Unless Robert12010 has suddenly become a Ferrari fan then your wrong. :rolleyes:

FFS does it really bloody matter? The nature of discussion means the topic will branch out! Sick of people whinging if somethings slightly off topic! :banghead:

Personally it doesn't bother me that much if discussions go off topic, they just nearly always go off topic with the same topic. Lewis vs "The Driver the thread is suppose to be about".

So is there much chance of this thread getting back on topic? LEWIS HAMILTON has no relation to this thread; can we keep him out of it?:rolleyes:

I also wish that Gerhard Berger would go and hide under a rock instead of making inflammatory comments to the press!

That might discombobulate the rocks in his skull though...

cause he can do it. And very well.

Evidence to the contrary! Any driver can do it. Alonso's overtaking is nothing special, nor is his positioning of his car during his overtakes, or race starts. Thats his biggest flaw well aside from his megalomaniacism. :hehe:

From the list of guys that you could say are 'not very good at overtaking'. Definitely Alonso is not one of them. The starts... hmm not that great. But dont think you will expect Alonso to look hand-tied or boink an overtake he should be able to make. Maybe in the vein of Heidfeld... I think NH is quite capable, but you dont hear him much because he's hardly pulling over eager moves... but when he has to do it... he'll pull it through.

Maybe when people compare Alonso to Senna is more likely due to megalomaniacism :hehe:
Senna was super focused, self-absorbed... obssessive... Alonso is like this. You could say Kimi, Barrichello and some others aren't...... so this is probably the point of comparison people see.

By the way: I dont think Alonso is on the same level as Senna.
Senna, Fangio, G. Villeneuve, Schumacher, maybe Prost and Jackie stewart and some others.... : are legendary!
Alonso, Niki Lauda, Hakkinen, Piquet and some others... : are greats.
