Held the pack up after Alonso's mishap in the pits. Stopped anyone other than Hamilton gaining from it. Gave up his own chance of having a go at hamilton. Massa(if he took advantage of lewis when he went wide) or Lewis himself would have won.

I knew someone was gonna mention that STUPID article eventually. It's complete bs and if you watch that part of the race it's obvious why. When i heard about this i was so incensed that i actually have just watched a replay of the offending period. The man behind Massa on track was Schumacher - who followed him into the pits when the SC was immediately deployed. After Alonso pitted and rejoined, Massa was indeed just behind him, but Schumacher was nowhere to be seen. So if anyone was holding people up it must have been Schumacher. Additionally, the gap between Hamilton and Massa remained the same throughout... so yeah, nothing happened this time.

Was anyone else going to gain from it though? From memory the next placed driver was pretty far back,

Don't see why Ferrari would've asked Massa not to overtake Lewis, not sure how Massa or Lewis would've won the race? Lewis went wide after race restart from the safety car so the pack was "naturally" close together.

Not only that but thats a hell of a lot of quick thinking and communication from Ferrari, and seems to be the very definition of team tactics.

Any evidence?

The one claiming that some autosport journo wrote that this happened. I never saw the article on autosport.com or anything... but it's beside the point. Someone somewhere has tried to claim there were more team orders just to s*** stir.

in fairness autosport do give good race reports, but back to the point, lewis may have won the race if he hadnt ran wide, but then its all ifs and buts then isnt it?

Well yeah but that isn't the point here... plus, the only place i saw this claim was in some random article, i never actually saw it in autosport.

Yeah but you know they do have tools at races like kangaroo screens giving sector times for all cars And tv screens AND the actual race to call on. Thought you realised that, sorry.

Well yeah but that isn't the point here... plus, the only place i saw this claim was in some random article, i never actually saw it in autosport.

All besides the point, just cause someone was there it doesn't mean they saw any more than i did on the TV. The coverage showed all the right cars at the right time, the gaps were very clear, just watch a replay of those laps on iplayer or something.

So racechick, you are saying you actually think there was some team order? I mean, where is the radio conversation and any evidence apart from what some journo wrote? And why isn't this massive news, is it some big cover up conspiracy?

Ferrari team orders = conspiracy?

Team orders have been and will always be apart of any form of racing. Just too clarify I have not read every post/comment/opinion in this thread simply because I don't bother myself with such things but I get the jest of the debate, ok for some teams but not for others. Is the pot calling the kettle black or am I way off base?
