Alittle research goes alongway Stealth as I just found a manufacturer that has a drop-in conversion kit for the Glock 20 10mm bringing it to a a .50cal :yikes::thumbup: . Rather exspensive but hey its only money!

I have a neighbor that does drop-ins on the AR-15 platforms. I think he has just about every caliber made. He just got .308 barrel/receiver kit and away he went. It is kinda the way to go if you want to save money in the long run.

Took the plunge today and baught a Taurus PT 24/7 Pro model .40cal. I am very very familiar with this pistol as I have sold almost 100 of them when I worked at a sporting goods outfit. Holding the PT is like slipping into a glove oh so very ergonomical and $100 less than the Glocks I was considering. The store was out of the models of Glocks I wanted so I had no qualms about purchasing the Taurus aswell as a holster for it. Here is a video aswell as some crappy cellphone pics of my pistol, can't wait to hit the range in the morning :cloud9: !!!

My newest 'duty pistol' a Glock 29 10mm, it's a beast!! :cloud9:

One of the biggest reasons I chose this caliber is that the ballistics and range are phenomenal for a handgun. I'm using 200gr Hornady JHP's (jacketed hollow points) compared to the 170gr JHP's used in the following video and my barrel is 1/2in shorter in the 29 (sub-compact model) than in the model 20 (full size) used in the video so my range will fall slightly by about 50yrd's.

What I also love about this gun is it is VERY light and with my new paddle/composite holster it feels like I'm not even wearing it. My next gun will be a Glock 30 (sub-compact) .45cal or possibly a model 20 (fullsize) .45cal that I can get a conversion slide/barrel to make it a .50cal, imagine the hole that would make  !!

Anyone want to have a shooting contest?:hehe::P

I have been on a range and pressed the big red button on a Rapier 2000, It was like umpalumpa... loud, fast, and was all over in a few seconds.

I was chatting to the guys who did it for a living the missile cost £100,000 for per shot. So like Wayne Rooneys umpalumpa life then lol.

They also fired a Javlin and that was silly loud and fast. The acceleration was stupid.

That gun is on my list of must haves aswell as a Custom II, you and your father have good taste in pistols  . I was the top qualifier in my academy with a 2001 model Pro Carry I, they had to deduct points :hehe: .

I shoot kids for fun....................(On call of duty)

I have great respect for firearms because they are engineering marvels and it feels awesome when you hold one. I have never actually been clay pigeon shooting or anything so I haven't had the sensation.
