I cant see RD wanting webber, he;ll want someone to pair with LH for a number of years and who wont rock the boat. Webber seems to like moving around and after his comments about LH in Fugi, I dont think it would work, Flavio does tend to manage some hot tempered drivers, and RD wont want a repeat of 07

Is Flavio still Mark Webber's manager? If so, I'm thinking that Webber will be at Renault next year and Alonso at RBR.

If Alonso moved to Red Bull with (his bestest friend in the world) Webber as his teammate, Red Bull would become the team with the biggest mouth in the paddock.

Red Bull with Webber and Alonso would be like a switch back to V12's - lots of high pitched whining!

It would make my day if Webber beat Alonso on a regular basis

but RBR has already his drivers confirmed, Webber and DC are going to drive for them! at least we could see a replacement in he middle of the season, although i don't think so...

Although Allonso and Mclaren have parted company, and thei respective contracts are null and void . A lot of sites are saying that Alonso is barred from going to a manufacturers team for 1 year What we do not know is that there may have been conditions written into that parting. Only Mclaren and Alonso know for sure the full terms. If this is the case then that rules out BMW, Renaukt and Toyota

That makes a lot of sense and is probably true.

Mark Webber to McLaren and Alonso to Red Bull...

Now that I'd like to see...

Webber doesn't have a temper and he's got speed, he just needs a reliable car.

It's a very logical choice...

Ive had another thought on Alonso. If its true that when his contract was terminated with McLaren there was a condition that he doesnt drive for a manufacturer for the next year then he will have to go with one of the smaller teams. This will tie in with the rumours that he is going to Ferrari the year after(Lucca is still hell bent on having him and Kimi). Alonso will write off any chance of the championship for this year but will keep his hand in with the new technology-no traction control........

Just heard that Briatore has made him an offer so ......what I just said could all be poopoo. Back to the original idea of a swop for Heiki? Would love to know the parting conditions of Alonso and McLaren.

I don't think McLaren will will impose any caveats on where Alfonso goes. I believe they will just be hugely relieved that he is going. The odds-on replacement has to be Kovalainen. As I said before, Ron seems to have a soft spot for Finns, it's a nice neat package, all wrapped and ready to go, in a minimal expense swop, with perhaps a few million credit thrown for good measure. It's not often that you are presented with a sparkling new model and a refund to boot when you send your garbage to the dump.

He lost it in Fuji, and at other times, he is fine while things go right but when they dont he cant handle it. After slagging off hamilton at fugi it will end up like this year

Yes I agree with that. He blew it when he jumped on the "its Lewis' fault " bandwagon five days after the event! Blamed Vetel at the time
Shame. I like his driving and he works well with the mechanics on setup. Not another whinger tho. The Fins temperements would go well in that situation. Forget political games and dirty tricks just get in the car and drive it fast. Look at Mika, Kimi and Heiki.

I would like to see Mr Dennis give Gary Paffett a race seat, I guess he'll be looking for some experience to partner Lewis though.

What if the Life team suddenly returns to F1 for next year with their W12 engine car and Alonso drives for them? He won't be overtaking Hamilton then unless Hamilton was on a skateboard. ;)
