Id love to see kubica go to mclaren and alosno to BMW. Imagine how much nick stock will raise when he comforably beats alonso! 2timesWDC. Luis will beat kubica marginally like nick did. Confirming luis as the best driver. Then people will say " ah but what about heidfeld?" Then we may see luis versuses nick in the same car, the outcome of which would be VERY unpredictable!

your post was kinda confusing..
but yeah I'd like Alonso in BMW. They have a really good car and it wil definitely improve for next year, plus Alonso will probably bring out more of Heidfeld's potential

Nick surely deserves more credit, he is probably the most underrated driver right now... I think even Kubica got more "positive" remarks than Nick... and Nick trashed him

The advantage with Heidfeld is that his speed is combined with experience these days. He was able to be consistent last year at times when Kubica made youthful errors.

However, I see Heidfeld as another nearly man unless he is properly challenging for the WDC soon. That may even need to be in the next two years.

As i see it... there's 3 drivers gearing up to be WDC:

1. Rosberg
2. Heidfeld
3. Massa

They have to beat Kimi first though...

Webber is not the most underatted for sure about 35% think he is the next alesi but would rather him not be. The rest think he is rubbish! I think he is a fast qaulifier but other really fast qaulifers like jarno, alonso, massa, nico, heiki, nick and kubica would be fairly close to him. And over race disistance most apart from mabye trulli and heiki would overtake him. And I like Heiki. I just think he is slow though. Nice guy but can nice guys win at f1? So far no one I have wanted to win at f1 has one, in retrospect. But I suppose alonsos win in 05 was the closet I got to seing jos verstappen, HHF and J. Alesi win the WDC. I dont rate webber as that special - very good but a nearly man. To say heidfeld is a nearly man is silly. In my opinion raikinnen is and was more of a nearly man, the man had many great cars and got just one WDC. Nick has never had the chance. Even alesi has had more of a chance than him. Webber has had the same chance as nick, and I feel that is unfair on nick! rember 1999 F3000 anyone? I do!

Obviously a massive Heidfield fan, and yes, he's quick and consistent. But also look at Webber, great qualifier, but terribly unlucky in races with reliability, and this season, a great chance of beating LH in the wet at China, except taken out behind the pace car by his team mate.

He has beaten every team mate he's had, including DC (qualifying and races he's finished) and Rosberg. (although he was a rookie)

Webber is one of the logical choices to replace Alonso at McLaren. If the non manufacturer team clause is true, RBR is the best non manufacturer team for '08 I think, better than Williams.

Even if not, Renault shouldn't get rid of Kovy, he's a star. Kovy and Alonso is a great pairing, but McLaren don't want Fishy, he's yesterday. (Same with R.Schumacher) Nico is staying at Williams, Heidfield at BMW, Button at Honda. (despite all the British hopes)

So Webber makes alot of sense. I doubt Sutil, Davidson or the like deserve a McLaren drive just yet, although I didn't think LH deserved the Macca seat in his first sean and he raced 16 good races.

Why did Williams finish ahead of Red Bull in the Constructors Championship then?

^ Lewis is already WDC contender. But he would have been future contender had he started in Williams or Rd Bull or whatever...

They don't have to be better.
They could win when someone else dosen't have a competitive car.

Felipe has already out-qualified Lewis on several occasions.
Heidfeld in so fast when you look back. At brazil he out-qualied kubica who was 3 stopping, while he was on 2 stops. Plus he beat both ferraris at Montreal fair and square.
Then Roseberg is another driver who just needs a fast car. Hes Probaly just as fast as lewis, if not faster.

But on the note of Rosberg. I've heard people comparing him to Hamiliton. On what?
The 2 have never races along side each other, so theres no way we could know if ones faster, which i doubt, since they're probaly just as good as each other.

You'll probably find that all his team mates have beaten Webber too. The guy doesn't have a cat in hell's chance of driving a McLaren next season... he's a "grid filler".

Williams also lost good points when Nico was running well in Indy and Malaysia and his car failed. Wurz could have had more points if he didn't have poor qualifying runs as his general race pace was pretty good, on some occasions though he was very unlucky in qualifying when he got held up by Trulli in Spain. Even if Webber's car hadn't failed in Brazil Nico would have still caught and passed him like he did with the BMW's.

Reading the guy who said that when he finished he beat all his team mates - er not nick he didnt. But you will probably use the five races nick was injured in as an excuse. But u see thats not an excuss its more conrete than those who go about adapting to new tires etc.... Also finishing is a major part of f1, which dc has been able to do more - webber MUST be doing something wrong, he needs to fix that first.

This is the talk of someone that knows nothing about F1...

Mark has been in some outstanding positions relative to the car he's driving only to have it break down on him...

I've not heard anyone complaining from his employers that he's breaking the cars, so it's down to bad luck and bad reliability...

Put Mark into a reliable and fast car and he will be in contention to win the WC.
