Hopefully MW can win it this year

I dont see this being a Red Bull dominated track, to many straights and swooping curves

Why does everyone on this forum like Brazil GP? (Besides the scenery)

because it always throws up excitement!, title dreams broken and made in the last 5 years or so ! plus with the unpredictable weather too!

for Brazil I and most of the McLaren fans should be hoping for the best but expecting the worst really. It's not a McLaren track and to be honest Lewis has to get lucky again to hold his championship thoughts alive, it's a Ferrari/RB track combined so don't expect much really. Trying to be real and not pessimistic, but although I think we are looking forward to an exciting race because Interlagos has been pretty much spot on for the last two years.

purely on track layout, theres the smallest of squiggly sectors compared to pretty much ecery other track, not to mention that they arent high speed. and the small matter of two straights of which one is huge and uphill( merc power advantage)

I think/hope Brazil can be an absolute cracker of a race.

When you think about it, I think we can all agree with Fernando's assessment of the current WDC standings. There are still 5 who can win and all he did in Korea was ensure he would be in the running in Abu Dahbi. The other 4 could possibly fall out depending on the results from Sao Paulo. If you try and read more than that into it, then you're just plucking one possibility out of literally millions of possibilities.

I always enjoy pouring over the stats from races, and did so with Korea to see if I could find anything that seemed interesting.

Here are a few that stuck out to me:-
With the conditions, spray, etc, it was a real lottery on whether any driver was lucky enough to get a clear run for a complete lap. So I looked at the sector times to see what each driver/car's true potential might have been.

Fastest combined best Sector times went to Lewis with 1:49:957! To demonstrate how hard it was to put together a complete lap without some interference consider that his best complete lap was aver half a second slower! (hmmm 2 exclamation marks in one paragraph. Thinks - I must be overdoing it)

Second best in the combined best Sector times goes to Seb with a 1:49:973. Actually, significantly slower was Fernando with only the 3rd best combined sector time of 1:50:165.

What that tells me, is that heading to Sao Paulo, McLaren fans have a lot to be optimistic about. Their car is not noted for d/f and, in the rain d/f would be all important. Lots to be optimistic about.

For me, the x-factor will be heat. We have been running in cooler climes for a while now. But the next 2 races will bring heat back into the equation (eg engine/tyre/brake).

One thing of note is that Shell has brought 2 significant fuel and lubricant upgrades for Ferrari. One in Spa and one just before Korea. They were announced as "green" changes in that they increased the bio elements of the fuel from 1 to 2. What seems to be postulated is that the real benefit in these upgrades are significant heat reductions. If true Ferrari might be able to run higher performance levels longer during a race. This is complete conjecture and remains to be proven.

Can't wait for Brazil - hope for another great race and everyone gets to the finish.

culture and race are two different things, racism refers to race! Where have you been? It was a big news story the FIA even started an anti racism campaign because of it
Image

And it was because there where no racism at all... To a brit or to a united-stater (americans are ALL the americans), painting black the face is a matter of racism, but it's not the case to the rest of the world. That happened during Carnival, a time where people disguise themselves, and it was Lewis (and Anthony) where very controversial at the time, so some people just decided to disguise (very poorly) about a hot subject...

If have to understand that some gestures are not taken the same all over the world, if you don't believe me, try to do the victory gesture to a muslim and you'll learn quite rapidly what i'm talking about...

spain is notoriously racist

In which basis do you support that stupitidy?

Every country has an element of racism; end of story, drop the racism talk; it'll all end in tears!!!

Of course there's racism everywhere, but that's not what you wrote...
Is there racism in Spain? -Yes
Is there racism in the UK? -Yes
Is there racism in Namibia? -Yes

But you can't say that a whole country is racist...

It seems to be what he wrote, an element of racism just means racism in that country rather than the entire country being racist surely?

That's exactly what I meant; an element is a part of a whole, I never intimated that a whole country is racist. I see no point in discussing racism amongst F1 fans as it's an isolated group of idiots and it has no bearing on this thread or the race. I'll say it again; stop with the racism talk and discuss the race, drivers chances, team chances etc.

spain is notoriously racist

In which basis do you support that stupitidy?

erm dunno what yoy want me to say but spain is notorious world over for racism, particularly in sport, and i am NOT going to retract that statement when so many people are aware of its truth

Track wise:
Image

Red Bull should own in the 2nd sector

All those long straights will be fun to watch (looking for any engine malfunctions)

There are acouple good spots for overtaking and the track looks wide enough for some decent run offs (instead of wall contact)

Is that a correct pit lane?

Please let it be dry!
