agreed with everything originally said. Red Bull need to show conviction behind Mark in order to win the WDC, otherwise Ferrari are the only smart team and the other two are just stupidly ignorant on how to get the number one on their car. Look at the last 3 world champions. Jenson last year, clearly favoured over Rubens. Lewis, easily favoured over Heikki. Kimi, easily favoured over Massa and won cause the 2 McLaren drivers (Alonso and Hammo) were fighting eachother more than anyone else and failed to win it because of this.

Red Bull, if you don't back Mark then I won't back you anymore. If Vettel wins the WDC anyway he would be a very unpopular champion cause he comes across as a bit of an arrogant little prick. Clearly from the grid before the restart of the race you can see the division in that team. Horner couldn't even get into Vettel's little gang and where was Adolf Marko for Mark when he lost the lead of the WDC. It was interesting to note Adrian Newey's reaction when both drivers went out. HE seemed a lot more upset when Mark went out and I think this is because Mark is a good bloke who most people would love to see win this year.

Love your board name country boy, howdy :) . IMO Mark has shown that he IS the deserving driver out of the two merely because of his on-track/off-track performance. Vettel will have his day in the sun but this season Mark has proven he is more worthy, as a consistent driver, for the WDC than Vettel.

I hope I've just got some posts here completely wrong - either jokes I'm not getting or I'm just misunderstanding people.

Those calling for "take-outs" and "racing incidents" so Fernando can have a DNF, if they were said in all seriousness - are sick.

Those of us on the affirmative side of the "Team Orders" debate evoked many indignant and prompt replies. Lots of these arguments were based on "moral" grounds.

Yet, here we seem to have people posting encouragement for, what is tantamount to attempted murder and until now, no-one seems to object.

I really hope, as I said at the start of this post, that I've just got it completely wrong, but if not, IMO these would be amongst the sickest posts I've read.

While they may be joking, and I've been joking about it in other threads we need a miracle. Whether it would be the same sort of miracle that Alonso benefited from at the 2008 Singapore GP, who knows. For sure Team Orders must be used, so that's one bit of karma coming Alonso's way.

So there is an element of me actually hoping someone deliberately takes him out, and in some twisted way I've justified it. Even though Alonso 100% deserves this title. An this is only for the sake of Vettel winning the title. I've only sunk this low because I have no confidence in Webber anymore... :(

EDIT: Hey at least I'm honest... :wavey:

BTW - at all the other guys above - what about if Barichello took him out? That would be Barichello's way of getting back at Ferrari for they've done to him and Massa... :hehe:

Hey Big fella, I give you points for the honesty, much better than someone that might "allude" to this idea yet cower behind a subtle play on words.

I don't mind racing hard, and I can handle whatever luck dishes up, that's part of racing. Play as hard as you can, bend the rules if you need to, play mind-games - that's all part of F1.

But wanting to risk killing someone to win? That's just not on - no matter how desperate you are.

And to add to this.....if Vettel had of won yesterday and was now leading by 11 points over Webber (with Alonso 7 points behind)....then Webber would be under strict instructions to support Vettel....of that I am sure.

Of this I am sure too.

If Vettel was in Webbers position going into Korea, the team would have directed Webber to support Vettel.

Seeing Vettel get hugs and kisses after his race ended makes me sick.

The risk of an shunt compared with the risk of running a 100% race distance of a GP... Hmmm... They could be saving his life really.:drink:

Last year Horner did ask Webber to play second fiddle to Vettel. News article is below. But, in last year's points system being 10 points behind wasn't too bad.

Webber has to play team role says boss Horner

Christian Horner vowed to speak with Mark Webber after the Australian driver indicated he is not willing to play a team role in Brazil this weekend.

Webber is out of the running for the world championship, and his Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel on Thursday indicated that he is sure he will be able to count on the 32-year-old's assistance in the decisive phases of his own title tilt.

But Webber reacted coolly when asked about his supportive role, answering "I doubt it" to whether team orders will come into play, and also indicating that Vettel would not be the worthiest world champion of the trio in contention.

Team boss Horner told Germany's Bild newspaper: "I will have to ask Mark what exactly he meant. It is clear: the whole team wants this title and we will do everything to get it. The same goes for Mark."

Elsewhere, Webber is reported as clarifying his remarks, insisting that "if I can help Red Bull, of course I will".

But it's important to compare last year's championship situation with this years:

Button 85 points
Barichello 71 points
Vettel 69 points
Webber 51.5 Points.

And shame on him for doing so. Just because Senna does it, doesnt mean its OK.

I am hoping Vettel really does try to REDRUM Alonso, yes that's what I'm hoping for. I want to see vehicular manslaughter charges against Vettel tried by the WMSC. They'll declare that the drive through penalty given by the the race stewards was already penalty enough.

Wow. I wonder if your response would be the same if they were talkin about Lewis. Anyway, relax. Webber got 'taken out' by himself in Korea, Lewis got 'taken out' by Webber in Singapore, nothing happened to them. They are fine. Beloved Alonso will be okay too, don't you worry.

but i think with senna, he wanted to be the greatest and just couldnt be second best under any circumstances but he is still a legend!

I'm sure Spanky had a different perspective when Schumi rammed Jacques in 97!

That's an idiot statement.

Schumacher should have had his license suspended for that.
Also, my opinion is '97 happened because he was allowed to get away with Australia '94 which is when the FIA had a chance to cut this out - and didn't.

And as for the bloody thirsty other idiot statement, well, I console myself with the thought that most countries have anti-incitement to violence laws.

Those supporting incitement to violence should be sent back to Sparta or the Colosseum to satisfy any stupid blood lust - anywhere, just get out of F1.
