If they want to mock him, and it happens he is of that color... then it may SEEM racist even if they are just mocking him. i think they were more mocking him than being racist. But of course, there shouldnt be any mocking at all, because either way it is just disrespectful...

it is good that the media made a deal about it to avoid it escalating. Mostly because the mix of races/cultures and the global appeal is what F1 is trying to embrace. Certainly dont need the morons that sometimes plague some of the other sports....

I think people got the lesson/message, so hopefully it doesnt happen again.

Beside the retarded joke they can't even spell the word "family" right. I guess it's pretty hard to live with an IQ under 30

I can see why it may be considered racist and its not even a joke. Really other than maybe making fun of how Lewis's dad follows around here and there is really no joke within that. Jenson and Mark's do the same.

Stupid fans who dont deserve to be watching an international sport.
Also how can we tell they are Alonso fans?

culture and race are two different things, racism refers to race! Where have you been? It was a big news story the FIA even started an anti racism campaign because of it

That's just ugly, although I didn't see it referred to this season? Hopefully its been sorted out now.

No such thing as an Italian race so that doesn't make sense!

.

What about Monza?

If fans called other fans out for what they are, like this example for what it is... because if it's not racism, they're a$$holes or more appropriate in Spanish, come mierdas.

Man, you'd think F1 being such a global sport, that there would be none of that crap, but I guess it's just an ugly inherent genetic remnant of tribal society.

ehhh now that we've seen the pics... perhaps lets keep the Brazil GP out of loittering...
points shown... racist or no, it was stupid and disrespectful. F1 HAS a better audience than that....

Now, move on.

I'm still curious to see the reaction Massa will get in front of his home fans. In retrospect, maybe the fact that Alonso is going in there leading the WDC is going to help justify things, but Brazilian fans were none too happy for him moving aside.

I think he's been through enough of a bad spell and doesn't deserve being booed by his home fans.

I don't know how it is in Europe, but in America spelling tends not to be a strength of our protesters.

I cant wait for the Brazilian box girls!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think its racist, it was all in good humor. Then again it has to be really bad for it to be considered racist in America

Not like they were calling him racial slurs and threating to drag him behind a F1 car

spain is notoriously racist, that event happened in spainn, i dont care whos fans they were, that was racist. nobody gere is retarded enoygh to truly believe otherwise, but ive seen3/4 people defebd that picture and that disgusts me, i guess the crowds in brazil that threw nuts at hamilton( youtube it) wasmt racially motivated either? this is realky off topic but them fabs were clearly being racist

Enough with the racism discussion; let's talk about the potential on-track action; there will always be idiots out there who are out to get a reaction, racist or otherwise!

Personally I love this track; we have seen some great races at Interlagos; one of my favourites is last year; as a Jenson Button fan I was delighted to see Jenson's drive last season to clinch the 2009 drivers title. I can't wait to see Kobayashi in action; this track is one for overtaking and Kobayashi is an amazing attacking driver as proven by last year in the Toyota. I wouldn't like to call it between Red Bull, Ferrrari and McLaren; any one of those teams and their drivers could potentially win!

Hopefully MW can win it this year

I dont see this being a Red Bull dominated track, to many straights and swooping curves

Why does everyone on this forum like Brazil GP? (Besides the scenery)
