Martin:Jenson We need you to overtake Fernando Vettle Style can you confirm understand?

Alonso's car seems pretty tough though, and he'll knock the hell out of anyone who takes him out.

Also, isn't this what is meant by Massa being a rear gunner?

To be fair i'd be happier with JB as my rear gunner over Massa if i was Lewis or Alonso

Jenson will help Lewis if hes out of contention as Lewis is already a WDC with Mclaren and he will get equal status next year. but Massa proberly dosn't want Alonso to win the championship as it means he may get number 1 status.

I thought Massa's number 2 status is confirmed?

Yeah, Massa's number 2 is confirmed the day Alonso wrote his signature on a Ferrari contract. I'm sure Massa knows it too.

Not this again,

Which is of course why he let Alonso through in Australia?

Red Bull needs Alonso to DNF one of the two last races, which is not going to happen.
Massa is gaining confidence now and will contest for the top 4 positions in the last two events.
Unless Red Bull wins 1 - 2 in the next two races, Alonso will win the WDC.
Red Bull will DNF one more race do to mechanical issues (one car not both)
Look for Ferrari to achieve a 1-2 finish in Brazil (70%) chance.
After that, It's all but done to a thrilling season.

I meant Ferrari definitely recognised him as their future star. Like Redbull and Vettel?

I'm not saying Massa was going to be rear gunner from Race 1....more like he's no longer the 'future' for Ferrari.

Massa's been at Ferrari for a while with some careful mentoring, so I'd say Ferrari have a lot invested in him. Alonso's the bigger name and personality that's inevitable. I think its dependent on if Massa's confident enough to handle such a strong team mate.

Massa's in Ferrari because he had ex Ferrari boss man's son as his manager. With his form in Sauber, even though he is talented there is no way he could've landed a drive in Ferrari otherwise. My humble opinion of course, I know many will disagree. But seriously when Massa joined Ferrari I was like no way, there's some serious politics here.

He's a hard worker and a team player, even to the top teams that's very important. Look at Mclaren's reluctance to get rid of Hekki for example, and that guy was preforming worse than Massa.

Massa was only 1 point of the title in 08 with a world champion as a team mate.
