Alonso 10 car lengths behind  , must be your feed :D ?

I'll type s l o w e r this time, the leader is the only car on track that predicts the pace/space relevant to the pacecar it's not rocket science :banghead: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said Fernando benefitted from some luck today but I'm not one of those against him. I kind of said tey all do sometimes and then someone poined out he also sufferd from bad luck on other days, as do all of them, which is also true. I talk about luck because it's a true thing that it played a part. I don't favour any driver and I don't shout the talent of any driver from the mountaintops.

 Even Alonso said so in the press conference. He said the most important thing that has changed (from the 1st half) is he's getting less bad luck. And its true. Obviously you have to have the pace to capitalise on Vettel getting a DT for missing the SC in hungary. Just like the maccas needed to pressure the RB in Turkey to make em flop.

Luck plays a part in everything, but nobody's going to win a WDC "just" because they're lucky. Otherwise they'd just pull numbers from a baloon instead of driving around in circles.

40.7 All competing cars must then reduce speed and form up in line behind the safety car no more than ten car lengths apart. In order to ensure that drivers reduce speed sufficiently, from the time at which the “SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED” message is shown on the timing monitors until the time that each car crosses the first safety car line for the first time, drivers must stay above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU.

Once behind the safety car, the race leader must keep within ten car lengths of it (except under 40.11 below) and all remaining cars must keep the formation as tight as possible.

Looks like contradicting rules there, unless it just means the initial line must not be more than 10 car lengths, but after that the non race leading cars just have to keep it as tight as possible, given the conditions there's no cause for complaint against Alonso there. I think I also saw Vettel more than 10 car lengths behind it though, but he retired some time after the safety car, so I don't think punishment is forthcoming. Maybe he argued it was the conditions or something, and was covered by some other rule.
In order to avoid the likelihood of accidents before the safety car returns to the pits, from the point at which the lights on the car are turned out drivers must proceed at a pace which involves no erratic acceleration or braking nor any other manoeuvre which is likely to endanger other drivers or impede the restart.

^ No ones been punished under that this season, but I'm sure I've seen it breached.

What a dramatic race, watching rain for 1 1/2 hours then all sorts of action starts happening

I was so disappionted in my Red Bulls today.

Webber made a little mistake and his race is over, Vettels engine is just salt in the wound (the race is never over untell you cross the checkered flag).

There were so many contacts and mistakes today during the race but Red Bull got the worst of it.

The force indias were trying so hard to take advantage of the conditions today they get 2 thumbs up.

The little bit of joy i got today was seeing "His schumakerness" get a decent finish.

:nono: how can you say that with red bull avatars and signatures?

I saw Webber in the wall and straight away screamed you "f-ing dh." I'll leave you to work out what the abbreviations stand for.

I am UTTERLY disappointed with Webber - this is not a little accident - it's huge. And it may have cost him the championship. More than that I felt robbed. If I knew he was going to do that, then I would not have tolerated him potentially costing Vettel's championship for the sake of his own. (*contention point*)

At the last race I was praising him for what a level head he had - worthy of a WDC. But to make that mistake! :banghead:

But when Vettel's engine blew up I felt that this was so cruel. So very cruel. I was going to throw something at the tv until I realised it was my mates plasma. :hehe: And then I came into work this morning and people were giving me crap about how it was Seb's fault for pushing too hard. :bs:

Seb deserved a victory today, he deserved one in Bahrain, and he probably deserved one in Turkey. This was meant to be his championship. As a back-up plan it was meant to be Australia's Championship.

But to be honest if Red Bull walk away with the WCC and Alonso the WDC that would serve my drivers right. Both of them would be punished for their mistakes, and also for thinking they were bigger than the team.

I had a vision while Vettel's car was up in flames - it was a "Fernando Alonso - World Champion." I cringed. But I know that those four words fit well together. And the worst part to accept is that he deserves it and is a bloody legend. :irked:

Who does he think he is? No one is allowed to win the World Championship and deserve it! :banghead:
:hehe::rofl:

I thought that lewis and fernando drove well and again red bull are let down on the reliability front....and then with webber's retirement...the championship is wide open again!! and its great that lewis is right back back in the game too...shame that jenson's title hopes are virtually over..but looks like he didnt have a good race...only seen highlights yesterday so going to watch fully run tonight hopefully!"! :D

IF FA wins this championship, it will be one of the few championships won where the car wasn't the best in the field. The Red Bull is clearly the fastest car.

A bit like his 2005 championship.

Am I the only one who has surprised that when Webber hit the wall he didn't continue going beside the wall but turned right into track and into rosberg. It got me thinking if Rosberg never overtook Lewis, who would've gone out with Webber?
#221796
Err I'm sorry but 2005, his Renault was definitely the best car. The McLaren was faster for much of the season but no use having a faster car which blows up every alternate GP.

This season, the drivers could have been a little more consistent and the WDC would have been theirs by now. The Redbull has been pretty reliable throughout the season, and 2 or 3 retirements with a car like this should still warrant for a WDC. I pity Adrian Newey, the guy looked like he was crying after Webber crashed, and Vettel blew up...he was probably thinking of all those hours he put his genius to work in the offseason...then these 2 clowns to make a crash fest of his masterpiece. :banghead:

Yeah I thought it was a dumb move too, but was praying Lewis gets through that mess unscathed!

Good point though. I wouldn't want to believe Webber is such a character, but hey these are F1 drivers.
