One question to the the McLaren fans, should McL back Hamilton now and let Button be a back-up driver for Hamilton? hehe, he sure had a bad day at the office. Saw his interview afterwards and he could only laugh how bad he and the car was today. Said he was the slowest car out there Still a good driver thou and only behind Alonso, Hamilton and Kubica in my opinion. Put him in the RB car and my money would be on him.

If a driver can't get the job done without team order help then it's their problem, i don't care what round it is. If the other teams start using team orders now then they are still breaking the rules. You can't just have double standards and let them off just because they have failed to get their act together until this point and now need to use team orders themselves. If they don't use them and still win then fair enough, but if they get an opportunity they will do it.

Untrue, Kimi in 2008 did not need a radio order to let Massa through, he did this on his own free will. Obviously a predetermined plan by the team. So technically if a driver moves aside on his own will then there is no team order at all.

Its still a team order, it is just arranged before the race. Should be the same penalty to the team if a driver moves out on his own, or the team boss tells them. It is the same result anyway.

Sorry Bud.... I know where you're coming from...but in the end it's all semantics isn't it. Pre-determind or ordered from the wall, the intention is the same.

Vettel is only going to help Webber if the Brazil race transpires to not result in a DNF (or poor position) for Fernando, so the only way the RBR team can issue team orders in that scenario is from the wall. But the intent will be there prior to the race.

Anyway...I'm not disagreeing, we all know this is a big boys sport with serious financial ramifications. Doesn't matter what they "say" in the media... it's all charades to mask the truth.

i dont understand, your saying you didnt mind germanys twam orders but nobody can do it from now on. if ferrari can get away with it i expect fans to keep quiet when/if macca or red bull do, btw i dont think its "if a driver CANT" its about making it easier to overtake a teammate or securing the WDC

Mclaren supporting Hamilton doesn't just mean swapping him and Jenson on track, think Mclaren need to do it. Sorry Jenson, focus on next year and increase the chances that that car will suit you.

Although Mclaren might be aiming for 2nd in the constructors as the main priority, Ferrari are on the charge, WDC seems too far maybe?

The bad news for McLaren is that in order for your team to be true to their campaign of equal treatment for both drivers, Button should still get a fair shot at Victory in Brazil. He is 42 points behind with 50 still up for grabs.

A long shot, but still a possibility. If he moves over for Hamilton in Brazil then you guys are no better than Ferrari.

With the exception of one team member moving out of the way for another, what exactly is it that a top tier team can't do for BOTH drivers? I can see a team with little resources or the ability to come up with only one new part and give it to the prefered driver, but what exactly is it that Jensen is being asked to give up?

Sure there are intangibles, but there is nothing restricting McLaren from having Jenson go out and win a race if he can. The thing hypocrites love most it to point out hypocrisy in others.

I will be the first to denounce McLaren if they pull a Ferrari... but either McLaren is the hypocrite for doing it in the last turn of the last race, or Ferrari is the hypocrite for doing back in Germany and then convincing their zealot fans they did no such thing. So far only one of those scenarios has played out this season.
