It would just be so great for all the contenders to get a clean start and let us watch them fight it out for the whole race. No bad luck for anyone!

What's the percentage of rain for the race? On Friday practice I heard it was 60%, whether that has changed or not.

I keep hearing 60-70%.

I think that Red Bull and Ferrari have been sandbagging in the FP sessions...

I don't think Vettel in particular knows the meaning of the term "sandbag." His approach to racing has all the subtlety and guile of a hand grenade.

Daaaamn! the Red Bull is strong.

At least Alonso gets to start from the clean, and has a little advantage on the initial sprint... hopefully he is able to get a good start unlike several he's had... but at least he should be able to snatch it up from Webber.

The rest will depend on so much... its going to be a coin-toss between everyone in the top 4.

Massa wasn't that bad.
And Vettel is continuing on his good form. Luck and few mistakes aside, the guy's been fast.

If Alonso can pull off a start like he did back in his earlier Renault days 'looked like a launch control' and if Webber flubs another launch Alonso should take the lead. Oh and as mentioned earlier Vettel and Webber might 'tango' themselves out at the first corner :hehe: . One thing I find exciting about this track is the sharp corners.

Would rather have a Ferrari WDC but if not I want the man 'from the land down under' to take it.

Latest rain prediction is that it'll rain all morning but stop before the start of the race, and that it'll be cold so the rain will take longer to clear.

I still have reservations about that pit entry, normally it should be ok but if there's something like a car with a broken front wing or burst tyre making it's way to the pits it can't go off the racing line on the blind right hand corner without having to cross back over the racing line to get into the pits. I like the sequence of corners coming onto the pit straight but the pit entry is in totally the wrong place.

Looking forward to the race though and hoping this track will give us some good racing, the first corner is gonna be interesting.

Good point. Following on from the removing of the previous white line for the pit lane entry, officials have now stated they will relax the rules regarding crossing the white line for pit lane entry and exit for this race:-

White line rule dropped for safety reasons

23/10/2010

Following complaints about the entrance and exit to the pitlane, officials at Yeongam have decided to temporarily relax the rule regarding the white marker lines.

Normally, drivers are punished for crossing the white lines at the exit and entry to the pitlane, however, pending changes to the track for next year's race, this weekend drivers will be allowed to cross the lines without punishment.

"I think it's as much as we can do at the moment, Jenson Button told Reuters. "It's great that Charlie (Whiting) and the FIA listen to our comments. We can now cross the white line on the pit entry which is great. I think it does help your entry speed, so it means that you are more off line when you do have to lift off. So if you have a car following you closely it's not so dangerous."

Referring to the pitlane exit, Button's McLaren teammate, Lewis Hamilton, agreed: "As you come out, the cars that have come around the corner out of turn one, they are in your blind spot," he said, "you don't even know if they are there. Every time you come out you are trying to see if there's anyone there, plus you have to get straight on to the racing line.... I think in the race it will be interesting to see how everyone deals with it. You just have to go for it really and hope for the best."
