If my suspicions are correct....I think that Vettel will end up at Mercedes to replace Shumi.

So...if that happens....who is going to win that team-mate match up....Rosberg or Vettel?

That would be fun to watch. I think Rosberg over a year. But I don't think you're prediction will come true, at least not next year.

i think it would be a intresting battle in the same car....but will probaly need vettel to go to mercedes gp but doubt it will happen if red bull continue to be competitive

I can't see Vettel leaving Red Bull; they have the best designer on the F1 grid and we can almost certainly assume Red Bull will be strong next year. I don't believe Schumacher will be retiring either; I believe he really has something to prove now and will remain for next season at least to prove he isn't too old to win in F1! As for Vettel vs Rosberg; I have a feeling Rosberg will edge out Vettel over the course of the year; much like Webber has done in Red Bull; Rosberg is consistent whereas Vettel is not consistent at all!

I'm thinking I agree with you in some bits (post above), I don't know that it would be 'by miles' because rosberg is very reliable, good style and always solid performances ( I'm a Rosberg Fan!) but I think Vettel does have perhaps a bit of 'X' factor but he isn't using it to his advantage - it just seems to be a bit wreckless use at the moment, he needs control if he's going to beat a solid driver who nearly always brings home the points.

I think we are still to see Rosberg's true potential because he has never had the right car underneath him so perhaps next year we will see his ability to perhaps win races. Like many before me have said that Nico is a very solid driver and puts in good performances whereas Vettel is probably more talented but is too risky and frantic when he is put on the spot.

I doubt Vettel would leave RedBull. Hes from their young drivers program so hes basically got RedBull in his veins. It would be similar to Hamilton leaving McLaren. Unlikely!

Wasn't Vettel brought up through BMW?

As people have already pointed out Rosberg would probably be more reliable and consistant. But we'd have to see him in a top end car to know if he'd be able to match Seb on pure pace. While he has certain done alot with the equipment he has been provided I don't know if Williams/Nakajima or the current Merc and the question marks over Schumi's return give us an accurate picture of exactly how fast Rosberg is.

No he was a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, not sure exactly how he ended up with BMW, after originally testing with Williams for his best-placed rookie award in Formula Three Euroseries...

He's definitely proven to me that after wins the World Championship this year, he will go on to win more with Red Bull. And I doubt we'll ever see him leave for some time. But Red Bull will not always be competitive if the FIA keep changing the rules every bloody season... :banghead:

I know I'm probably in the minority around here but I actually like Vettel and Rosberg. I was just thinking though if it hadn't been for reliability and Vettel took wins in Bahrain and Australia, even with his other mistakes he would be ahead in the championship by miles.

I suppose that is the difference between Brawn's speed advantage last year vs Red Bull's this year

Schumi will definitely be with Brawn/Merc atleast one more year, his 2nd of a three year contract. His input this season as to what he finds wrong or in need of improvement on the current chassis should definitely improve his performance in '011. Believe me Ross is not anyones fool and is stock pilling records/input from 'The Man' which hopefully will lead him to the front of the grid. It is the car and NOT the driver and those who think otherwise are fooling themselves :wink: .
