If thinking that helps you sleep at night then sobeit but 7 WDC's say otherwise  . I like Rosberg alot and always have I just wish their car was as good as last seasons car.

Just winding you up. Nobody could touch Schumi in his pomp and even without the much-touted help of his "No.2" drivers he was an awesome force.

Alonso; 2006. 8-)

Sorry. Selective memory! :D

Not to be picky but: Hakkinen; 1998.

Edit: Villeneuve; 1997. :hehe:

Hill, 1996?

Na he wasn't in the running that year. That was Villeneuve vs Hill.

He had a great victory in Barcelona that year though in the wet I think?

Yes, torrential at times. His first victory for Ferrari, I think.

Wanna see that movie but the only difference would be that I can shoot you and get away with it :D , who's the man now  !! Gotta raz up Gaz simply because we are so much alike, it's too easy  !!

Scary...

All in good fun though :) and I'm looking forward to his rebuttal, I promise to play nice :whip: !

my comment is , yes. You guys will be probably saying ... "what the hell is this guy saying ?" hes truly a great driver. But he isn't doing that well this year. Something has gone wrong (in a way) , i think Schumacher and Nico Were Wrong to be in the same team.

It's high time for Schumi to throw his hat from F1. He has already achieved prominence for his 7 world championships. He's in 9th place in the Driver's championship. Better let him retire and give the throne to young budding drivers in F1. :director:

After giving this topic some thought I've come to a simple conclusion.

Although I have never been a Schumi fan, it is somehow fitting that Mercedes used him as the "personality" to springboard their return to F1 as a manufacturer. The team was probably caught off-guard at how much they had fallen off the pace.

He has done his job for Merc this year....he still has nothing to prove.....and they still have him as one of the best marketing tools (have you seen the new SLS commercial).

It's not as bad as it seems I suspect. Vettels will be his replacement I am still sure.

There might be no "quit" in the old boy but if he keeps driving like this, there might well be a "fired" in him.

The FIA, the FOTA and the fans might excuse a defending World Champion of such boorish behaviour, but not a backmarker.

THat was pretty weak by Schumi, really wouldnt expect that from ANYONE. I mean how hard could it have been to just pull over, its not like michael was on a hot lap.

Give him 1 last crack. But if Nico is still easily getting better results in 2011, then it might be time to leave

The cracks are already showing. One more crack may be all it takes.

Now now before we get all condescending about him lets atleast wait to see how he performs in 2011 with a new and improved chassis instead of a modified one. It seems no one wants to accept that it's his first year back and that the chassis is not suited to him much less Rosberg. I'm certain this judgemental behavior would be put on any WDC driver making a comeback after almost 4yrs out of the game so cut him alittle slack please :) .

So I kindly ask of everyone lets see what 2011 brings and then make a judgement call. I'm all with ya if he does not improve his results but until then I still believe he has what it takes to battle the 'young guns' of today. Look at Jackie Stewart and his lap times driving modern day F1 cars, he would be a race winning contender.

^^ I think it would be a year like this if they dont do any improvement. But the team said they would.I wonder what will happen and their ''improvements''

i think Schumacher and Nico Were Wrong to be in the same team.

Noo i like them together in the same team.Though,it is harmful for Schumi's sucess everyone thinks agrees even more on the fact that he is having a bad year.

Thats what everyone thinks expect*(edit:i am a misspeller lol)him. He still says he will go on.In interviews he said:'I have more to show off' I wonder what he is going to show, another terrible year from 7 times WDC?Or a legend going down?

Regardless of the race results EXPECTED of him from his fans and non-fans the man had the balls to make a comeback and that alone speaks volumes to me. Next season is what we should be focusing on imo. :)

I've not studied his anatomy but it definitely was indicative of his supersized ego. I can fair guarantee that if MSC comes back in 2011, Ross Brawn will have an understudy waiting in the wings.

With any luck Heidfeld will get the call. Such a waste not having him racing for such a large part of the season. He is matching Kamui for pace!
