I see from your news there's now a wider one, so my statistic is outdated. No matter what you build, if you're going for size, someone will eventually beat it. Hence you should go for beauty instead. Anyway that's why I used the word "apparently" earlier.

I don't think size was really a consideration. It was necessity and feasibility that guided them when they started it. At any rate, I think that was quite an engineering feat.
