For starters there is pretty much open war between the Champam family (who actually own the name Lotus) and Fernandez.

And Renault have said they won't be supplying engines to Lotus while they are fighting like this.

As it stands now they have no name, a chassis and gearbox but no conventional engine, perhaps Heikki and Jarno will run "Flintstone" style and they'll become the first "generic" F1 team.

That's not good news if it's true; I thought that Fernandes had bought the "Team Lotus" name and was free to use the name. I believe it was Proton that was making all the noises because they wanted to block the use to the "Team Lotus" name, because it uses their intellectual property "Lotus" name!

Does anyone really care weather its called "team Lotus" or "Lotus Racing"? I mean as long as it has Lotus in it and follows the same colour scheme i think people will get the general idea.
