Massa has really struggled since his injury and has really underperformed this year. He has always had silly little mistakes and been a crasher from the beginning of his career. Do you think he is the right man for ferrari? I think a Kimi comeback would be better for ferrari.

Give it till 2012 and sign Kobayashi, be like Mclaren 2007 all over again.

Do you think Massa cares?? I made the same mistake he did when I first started playing EA Sports F1 2002!! The guy knows Alonso is the new Michael and Massa's hopes of WDC are dashed forever in Ferrari.

He might talk about coming back strong, etcetc, but there's no life in the 2nd Ferrari now. Next year might be either Massa's last year at Ferrari as he will either be kicked out, or look for other pastures (like his compatriot Rubinho)

He still isn't up to scratch after his injury and wasn't before in 2009 either. He doesn't look comfortable in the team or when driving. I can't really think of who Ferrari would replace him with though.

why was he not up to scratch in 2008????? i am sure only being one point off a WDC de-legitimises any ability he has.

sarcasm alert

He was not up to scratch in 2009 either is what I meant to say.

Yes he was. He was fairly blowing Kimi away. He had just got Ferrari's first podium of the season the race prior to his accident.

22 points to Massa, 10 to Kimi when he took that knock on the head.

Personaly I do not think his seat is in any danger but I also think he may leave after his contract expires. Felipe wants a WDC and if he does not get the support of Alonso or the team say if he is in serious contention say next season then adios amigo's.

Just my thoughts. :)

What are the chances of him being in some form of serious contention and Alonso not being in contention?

Practically zero.

This is F1 where anything is possible and I have watched the unimaginable happen for 31+yrs  .

I think technically every drivers seat is in danger if they dont perform. But I think is Massa's confidence in danger and will he be able or allowed to regain it at this team is the biggest question so I think he would prefer to race at another team.

I can see him wanting to go to Renault, and I can see Robert wanting to go to Ferrari, I can see Ferrari wanting Robert to come to them, But i cannot see Alonso being so welcoming. He would prefer Badoer!

Would Ferrari be stupid enough to take in Kubica? When the whining prat is there and he's going to stir up another storm during the season, unless Ferrari put a leash on Robert. And I don't think Robert is the type to yield one bit.

Kinda why id find it interesting, to see how Alonso will handle himself and if he can take getting beaten by a team mate again. But Ferrari would be stupid to not get Kubica, If they dont want him McLaren will have him :wavey:

Stefano's got a solid hand on team management, he'll be big enough to stick Kubica in there.

Also, Stefano insisted that Massa will be driving for Ferrari next year.
