Nah, he'll have to do what Button is doing for Hamilton. Refuse to pass him and push like mad if its possible to catch and slow up a championship rival. Nothing new here.

Er got ure facts wrong AGEN!! Ner mind, keep trying

I tend to agree with Bill on this one. The things that make it obvious to me are:-

1) simply watch this video:-
http://www.hotshare.net/en/file/307091-436896547a.html
It's clear Jenson is already ahead of Lewis and carrying a lot more speed long before the braking zone for the first corner, yet he brakes way too early and almost has to stop to let Lewis pass him again before turn-1. This is just the most compelling video evidence in my opinion. Even Brundle can't believe what he's seeing as he calls it in real time.

2) Once Jenson had "assumed" the rear-guard position on Lewis he was lapping quicker here are the stats:-
Lap # Faster-Driver
Lap 19 Button
Lap 20 Hamilton
Lap 21 Button
Lap 22 Button
Lap 23 Button
Lap 24 Button
Lap 25 Hamilton
Lap 26 Hamilton
Lap 27 Button
Pit-Lap Button (adjusted for actual pit stoppage time)
Pit-Out-Lap Button

As I said in a previous post, the action from McLaren I think cost them a podium. Had Jenson been allowed to pass Lewis he would have had a big enough gap on Mark to make sure he could pit for tyres and get out ahead of him.

You know that every thread will end up being a Lewis Hamilton thread... he's sneeky like that, he evades security and then large as life, BOOM, Hamilton hijack! :P:hehe:

Quote from Luca di Montezemolo to the official Ferrari Website:-

"Felipe is and will always stay a number one driver for Ferrari," di Montezemolo told the official Ferrari website.

"I expect the performances of a number one driver from him - both in the next four races and, with different tyres, next year. Those will be crucial to bring us wins next season and to take important points from our opponents in the battle for this world championship."

So Luca wants Felipe to win the next four races; that's what the #1 driver is expected to do isn't it? I know you'll feel differently but that is simply a marketing sound bite!

He wants Felipe to perform like a number one driver, just prove he can do it and pull over and let Alonso through if he's directly behind him.

Well, far be it from me to agree with you, but, I did hear that Felipe was studying and copying Jenson's start from Singapore, the "brake hard when you see you're in front of your teammate" maneuver he's calling it.

You're clutching at straws here Spanky. Why not just accept what Ferrari do and stop worrying about it eh.

Perhaps you've forgotten my dear, I not only accept it, I embrace it, I praise it, I love it. Nothing would make me happier than Nando to win by less than 7 points this year

But I did really enjoy that Jenson "pull over driver and let me pass move" last race

You want an empty champion my dear, thats fine. But no need to try to place Ferrari's antics on other teams that dont do it.

Well cutie, I have to admit it would be a long shot for Ferrari to pull it off, but, rest assured, if they did it wouldn't in any way be empty for me, I'd love it!
Perhaps you had your eyes closed for the run to turn-1 from the start at Singapore, hehehe
Try listening to Brundles "real time" commentary as it happened, it might start raising even your eyebrows :D

This thread makes about as little sense to me as the Hamilton Schumacher thread. Teams play the game differently but in whatever way they think is best to reach for their goals and the drivers are just (very well) paid members of the team. Of course drivers want to win and will sign a contract with the team they think can offer the best chance of that but that contract also means they have to play for the team.
