Senna provides the team with money, I guess from his famous name mainly.

looks like Max forget that you can't just go around cutting costs like a madman, you actually need money spending and finances to produce high quality racing, money shouldn't really be a main factor in most of what racing teams do, maybe David Cameron can work that out as well.

Also, Ted mentioned that Rubens had the new DDD for the Williams, and Hulkenburg didn't, so that stops me judging their performance gap too harshly.

You really can not judge Senna against a pay driver like Yamamoto; pay drivers are notoriously bad, I'm amazed the FIA allowed him a superlicence! Senna may have been good in lower formula (as was Piquet Jr) but seems to be somewhat off the pace in an F1 when he came up against a decent driver in the same car; being 1.1 seconds off your team mate is really bad, even more so when your team mate hasn't driven a competitive race in three seasons.

I think the rules for that need to be tightened up, particularly with a testing ban, as much as I liked the guy, Badoer for example really shouldn't have had one.

They are drivers like all the others.
When you're in F1 I don't think you can hide behind your tag of "Pay driver".

Also, a few pay drivers have actually become great drivers, like Schumacher and Alonso.
Or less towards the "great" end of the spectrum, I'm sure you all remember Pedro Diniz, which wasn't a champion but was way better than Yamamoto or Alex Yoong.

EDIT: And Webber! He, too, was a pay driver.

I don't know if anybody has already mentioned this, I think it's worth noting Christian Klien outqualified Senna by over a second and his race pace was about a 10th faster, All this with little experience of the car, Well done Christian.

Yes it has been noticed; 1.1 seconds is a country mile in F1 terms, what does that say about Bruno Senna? another famous name without the raw ability to compete in F1!!!

RS comes to mind
But then again, NR doesn't do too badly...

I was okay with it until I saw Red Bull guys jumping up and down and clapping hands because Hamilton was out of the race. I can fully understand when your teammate overtakes someone and you're happy but clapping hands because of one's unluck is unsportsmanship.

Interesting how you interpreted that, I thought they were happy because their car had survived the impact.

IIRC it was some Ferrari mechanic clapping to which i shouted at the tv (in hindsight i shouldnt have): enjoy it while it lasts you italian edit.

Amazing that you can tell the nationality of Ferrari mechanics by looking at them on TV - you should put your clairvoyance skills to a better use.
Also, it has already been pointed out the McLaren pit reaction in 2008 - I wonder if they were "planted mole" Italians dressed up as McLaren crew?
Either way, and speaking as someone with Italian heritage, you're welcome at my gym anytime, where I'll happily explain to you where I think you can put your racist views, ditto to the moddy that edited the swear-bypass but shares the racist sentiment.

I was the mod that edited and i share no racist sentiments. I was eager to remove the swear word(it wasnt a nice one), in retrospect I should have removed the national reference as well but the swear word stuck out so thats what I dealt with. I could understand the poster's frustration at having his team/driver cheered for a misfortune, thats all I meant. Sorry if you misinterpretted this.

RC, accepted and put behind (speaking for myself). Thanks for having the courage to make it simple, clear and straight.

Although it was really easy enough to grasp without it needing to be explained to you 500 times.

I worked out from the 1st that you are a bigot. The rest, when you tried unsuccessfully to cover up and diminish your original post proved you a coward.

Ralf was good enough for quite a long time, until he moved to Toyota, I think.

Your being laughed at mate, i got some serious LOL's coming over your virtual psycho-analysis of a stranger. Mind you, im wondering why the racist hasnt been banned? funny that huh, stop crying and get over it, you should be rejoicing really considering the events of the last two races.

I did actually write in a complaint, but it seems it fell upon deaf...ears? no, eyes? fingertips?
Basically there was no response!

I think my wrongdoing was apologised for in the ery first post, by myself. Must of missed it.

Maybe theres no response cause the mod you contacted is still chuckling away at your inaccurate jump to conclusions that i am racist. Im being stupid perhaps but i never thought Italian even was a race? Can you go on youtube and report the racist comments of users against Hamilton, Oh youve never bothered?! Wonder why that is.....

There are millions of racist comments everywhere on youtube, it'd drive you insane trying to tackle them all. (Not that I think racism on youtube is acceptable, its just something that seems unenforceable).

Should Webber have got a drive through for clipping Hamilton?

Webber was on the dirty side.
He was behind Hamilton's rear wheels.
He had the wrong trajectory.
He braked too late.
He had too much speed going into the turn. (he actually locked brakes!)
He caught up to Hamilton buy mid turn.
He did not even try to steer into the turn.
He crashed into Hamilton's rear wheel on the turn exit knowing full well that he wasn't going to make the turn in a million years even if Hamilton's car wasn't there.
He knew he was beaten again both physically, mentally (outsmarted by Hamilton for the millionth time) and psychologically and he didn't want to accept that so he just decided to punt Hamilton off and hope for the best.

I honestly think Webber is not a very intelligent racer. Oh, he is a very intelligent man, but he has shown over the years that he is a little daft when it comes to close encounters on the race track IMO.

He should have gotten a drive though.

Could have saved yourself some typing for the simple fact that it was Hamilton who clipped Webber  .
