I believe, whomever wins here will win the WDC, and if any constructor can pull a 1,2 then they've got the WDC wrapped up.

The only real different circuit left is Abu Dhabi, as Suzuka, and Korea (if it happens) and Sao Paulo are of a more similar makeup.

I still think the WDC will go down to the wire (maybe with less drivers still with a good chance though) and the WCC will be more or less won by redbull.

As for this race- Vettel for pole, Alonso, Webber, Button, Hamilton, Massa (quali predictions), not sure about the race though.

Williams to have a strong showing.

I reckon Red Bull will win the WCC. With Alonso or Webber to win the WDC.

I think Williams will pick up as well. They have pretty much passed Force India and will only be a matter of time before they take 6th place in the WCC and are showing regular double q3 showings and double points since Valencia.

I might not watch it. I cant stand another weekend like the last two!!

Now that Hamilton has jumped out of the God pedestral, I allow him to finish his races again. :D And hopefully to show some good overtaking moves, by the way.

I think that McLaren will be strong in Japan; it's a fast flowing circuit which should suit the McLaren and possible Red Bull; Ferrari have already said they don't expect to do well in Japan but will be stronger in the final three races, assuming that there that Korea goes ahead! I expect Kobayashi to do well in Suzuka being his home Grand Prix, I expect Williams to have a good shout for another top six finish, the Williams is getting better as the season progresses and the Cosworth engine seems strong enough. I would like to see Felipe Massa do well in this GP but we know he won't be allowed to win should Alonso be line astern on the track. I expect Mercedes GP to be up there will Rosberg; maybe a fifth or sixth place; no dount Schumacher will crash into a number of cars on his way to 15th, Sorry Michael; you just don't have what it takes any more; the car is fine, Rosberg seems to be getting decent performance out of it! No doubt that Robert Kubica will be in the points mix somewhere although the Renault seems to have taken a bit of step backwards on ultimate pace. From a fan point of view I would love to see Jenson win the race, preferably followed home by Lewis and Mark!

Lewis to win Jenson 2nd.Webber and Alonso to crash into each other and both go out of the race.Vettel's engine to blow.

ok ok probly not but you can always hope :hehe: .If a McLaren doesn't win I just pray Alonso doesn't.For the sake of the championship it would be good if Webber had an off day, but he seems to be getting the luck that could guide him to the title this year.

What I think will happen will be red bull running away with it.If that happens and Korea doesn't get the go ahead it could almost all be over.

Fully agree. With bolded section.

Do or die for Lewis, and this time for real. He MUST perform in Japan and he knows it.

I think do or die for everyone. Except Webber maybe? he's got a lifeline given at Singapore with the lucky non-DNF so he can a afford a blink (unless Alonso gets a win, in such case he's not out, but in trouble).

What i think is this track will be a bit better for Red Bull than Singapore, and also for Mclaren. Ferrari's edge in Monaco and Hungary showed in Singapore, so back to reality i think it will be very very close between Mclaren and Ferrari for the fight behind the RBs. Obviously, the RBs have to be in total shape because the huge margins they had enjoyed are there no more.

Thinking about the track, i feel its some mix between Barcelona, Turkey and Silverstone. Red Bull was dominant at all 3, with Mclaren and Ferrari sharing some left-over dignity. At least Massa likes these sort of circuits, so hopefully he can match Alonso and chew some pts from a Mclaren or threaten a Red Bull if one of them struggles.

Love the track. There's been some epic races there...

Agree with that, it really is do or die, its not two drivers going for one championship, its 5, you have to make more tough decisions then you normally would. Lewis had to go for that pace in singapore and it didnt work, crashed in monza, weve seen how easily things change and im pretty sure its going to be like this until the finish, Dont think Brazil will suit RBR as much aspeople make out and i think Abu Dhabi will suit RB, Ferrari and Mclaren pretty equally.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE WEBBER SOME BAD LUCK! ( and alonso is theres any spare)
#217612
We'll not see the WDC decided until Abu Dhabi but because of the similarity in the next few circuits, I think the winner will only have to come in 5th or 6th position to guarantee the championship. There will certainly be a couple of drivers that will have to win there and hope their rivals DNF or low score just to have a shot.

Now, i am pretty adamant that Red Bull will be very fast with all those medium-high speed corners despite the flexi rule changes (i just don't think Monza or Singapore are tracks that really painted a true picture of the effects of the change, or lack thereof). Yet at the same time i am totally expecting Alonso to show them up again. :scratchchin:

I think we're due a wet race at Suzuka, i can't remember the last time we had one!
#217615
Yeah a wet track will be brilliant, we saw who owned them all at the last wet race we had! :whip:
