Is it just bad luck though, I am wondering as we've seen a few instances now where that McLaren seems to "break" in incidents whereas the other car continues on, of course every impact will be slightly different and its hard to tell.

Must be those flexi materials Red Bull and Ferrari have :P

Webber was in the wrong,Lewis was nearly a cars length in front of him. Lewis may not be able to win but he can have a say who wins if he finishes the last 3 or 4(Korea) races strong. I really think Vettel has a chance to nick this off Webber and i really can't see Alonso winning any more this season. Let's say we get into a situation where Vettel needs to pass Lewis to win the WDC, i know what i would do,i would let vettel pass me discreetly.

A picture never lies and Webber could live to regret his blatant push on Lewis.

Pictures do mislead, and that one is comming out of the corner from the looks of it.

Your bit in bold, thats not enough really to claim track position and expect to dictate the racing line with your opponent reacting to it, it was a racing incident, two drivers going for the same spot at the same time, neither one had decided it would be better to pull out of that, perhaps Webber thought Lewis knew he was there and would give him a cars width of space, perhaps Lewis (well probably judging from his comments) didn't realise how close Webber was to him.

Burndel's and Benson's race blogs are now up, I quite like Benson's its very well written. Neither really say anything we haven't noted here though, apart from this little tidbit:
The Spaniard [Alonso] is Webber's closest friend among the drivers, but there will be no favours from either, or any of the other title contenders, as this stunning season comes to its dynamic climax.

NOOO! Just when I was starting to forgive Webber he goes back down in my estimation!!!!!

I was okay with it until I saw Red Bull guys jumping up and down and clapping hands because Hamilton was out of the race. I can fully understand when your teammate overtakes someone and you're happy but clapping hands because of one's unluck is unsportsmanship.

Interesting how you interpreted that, I thought they were happy because their car had survived the impact.

IIRC it was some Ferrari mechanic clapping to which i shouted at the tv (in hindsight i shouldnt have): enjoy it while it lasts you italian edit.

Amazing that you can tell the nationality of Ferrari mechanics by looking at them on TV - you should put your clairvoyance skills to a better use.
Also, it has already been pointed out the McLaren pit reaction in 2008 - I wonder if they were "planted mole" Italians dressed up as McLaren crew?
Either way, and speaking as someone with Italian heritage, you're welcome at my gym anytime, where I'll happily explain to you where I think you can put your racist views, ditto to the moddy that edited the swear-bypass but shares the racist sentiment.

Very interesting picture. One thing it clearly shows is that, where Lewis placed his car did not leave enough room for Mark to stay on the track. You can clearly see Mark's left side tyres on the curbing. I believe that's a potential breach of article 16.1 of the 2010 Sporting Regulations where a driver is not allowed to force another driver off the track. Very marginal, but accentuated given the size of the Singapore curbs. Still doesn't change my view that this was a racing incident and nothing more. Probably adds credence to my view that Lewis really didn't need to cut it so fine. Had he left another car width he would have avoided the contact and taken the place.

Webber had no hope of retaining 3rd, Lewis had him beat, was ahead and had the line before the turn in. If Lewis wasnt in the title fight with him he would have conceded that place.

I can understand your sentiments entirely...... but please dont try to circumnavigate the swear filter. Thanks

You got something against Italians you wish to discus?

It was not Hamiltons fault.

You can talk AKR youre the most one eyed supporter out of anyone on here! Which is why youre proclaiming it all on Hamilton. Its always his fault in your books.

My words don't say it was hamilton's fault. I'm just saying it wasn't the "Australian's" fault.

Great race!!

Things are tight, no mistakes allowed from anyone who wants to win. Alonso pulled his Magic, he is a man with a mision. Vettel, best snipper from behind driving I've seen in a long long time very few drivers out ther will have resisted, wow. Webber, nothing to loose he can take huge risks, it paid off. Hamilton, he had nothing to gain risking against webber. U got to know when to fold them. The guy always blows it under pressure he has to work on that.

think theres some "too big a words" for fan boy talk in there, dumb it down a bit more :hehe:

You should try doing that yourself. Remember you are the king of doing that.

Anyways... como dicen: El que gana es el que goza, chico!!

De acuerdo. En Singapur Alonso i Ferrari fueron los ganadores. Ellos pueden gozar de eso. :-)

The mod wont reply. Trust me. He should honestly get a warning for both swearing and making a racist remark.
