After Singapore things get a little bit clearer and my suggestion gets stronger. Alonso is still no. 1 contender in my eyes for the title. Webber and Vettel are beatable from Lewis' perspective but it's really hard to see him beating Alonso if there are no DNF's for the spaniard. Although as we've seen you can get a DNF in a basic race situation like Button in Belgium and Lewis here in Singapore. I was in a very bad mood after today's race but there could be life after death for Hamilton.

sadly guys and girls, looks like Lewis's chances are over for this season :( but he will be back in 2011!, plus he has many years ahead of him.... :)

Still betting on Webber. Japan and Brazil should suit RBR ok.

It could get tricky if he depends on team play, because I don't see Seb going with it like Massa did.

I don't know how but I've managed to deal with it. Part of racing and part of why I love Lewis' driving, if the move would've been successful, it would be another great move to his resume. Like Ayrton Senna said, you use the space you have and go for the win, if not, then why be a racing driver? Or something like this, and it's very true in my opinion and Lewis is Senna's second coming, a dangerously fast and talented guy who goes for the win, sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses. He is still young and has won one title and more great years to come. Times like today you rather have to think about his legacy and his contribution to the sport rather than the result itself.

Yeah, I guess, but still the bad feeling wont go away. I dont want lewis to change. Id rather have him lose than win by being mediocre or walking over his team-mate. Jeez watching F1 is more stressful than work!!Hey , he's still the best! He seems to have more than his fair share of bad luck! I think its my fault, Ive worn my Lewis T shirt for the last2 races :yikes: Something different next time!

I'm not a Hamilton fan, but I wouldn't count him out of the championship, he's not really that far behind and Alonso will probably have engine trouble (at least losing the testing time affects his performance) and I reckon Webber and Vettel are in for one more retirement. The main problem for Lewis, is that McLaren seems quite a distant third in terms of pace now. I wonder if Hamilton would've benefited from the team focusing on him.

Bit concerned Stefano said there aren't really any major updates coming for Ferrari, although their position doesn't really justify maximum resources towards this year, still maybe he was just "playing it down".

McLaren have upgrades coming, they had them this weekend but couldnt use all of them, so next time. I hope McLaren dont focus on lewis only, and Im glad they havent up to now.Jensons in this champonship as well. I know lewis isnt out of it yet and if anyone can drag the McLaren up there then its him, bit its getting harder.

But wasn't Singapore supposed to be their major upgrades?

it was supposed to be the race where they needed them because the last two were McLaren tracks. They couldnt fit them all I think because of reliability issues, thats what Whitmarsh said anyway.

+1!
Sterling Mos said on Lewis."It isn't just that he is a driver, he obviously can drive - he is a racer, he can see a gap and he's in it."
He is the only driver who reminds Senna. He takes risks in almost every race like Senna and that's make him so special.
Nobody active is close to Ham and I mean nobody IMO.

McLaren are always stating they have "upgrades" at the next race....hell....every team does. But if you think the McLaren isn't going to eat it's rear tyres at the next high-downforce track you are kidding yourself.
