And somehow Lewis Hamilton has managed to hijack a dedicated Jenson Button thread! *shock* *horror* *gasp* --- is there no stopping Mr Hamilton?

I'll complete the honours then, Alonso and Ferrari stole my heart, who the hell could be allured by the crappiness of Jenson and Mc-lameon.

lol now the thread is complete, oh do we need to throw in a kubica-heidfeld comparison?

Hey look at the bright side, not a single derogatory name used for a driver! We're making progress.

It was posted by DD so there's no way to be sure.

On the watching Lewis win a race thing, does it last only as long as the victory lap or do you manage to make it all the way past the commercial break and then through to the podium?!?!

Oh there are after shocks right through to the highlights programme!!

Now to be fair to Jens since this is his thread  I like him to win, I really like him to do well.......just ......thats it

It's her in Twilight when she got bitten by the boohoo vampire and passed out with rolling eyes and almost, omg, died, but Edward saved her :hehe:

I think technically that was Massa,

and I'm sure Mr Vettel will get Hamilton sooner or later :hehe: He won't get Alonso though, well, not unless he values his health.

I somehow think that you are speaking literally. I know it's no joke. Tell me, do you watch f1 alone?
Does anyone know about you and Hamilton? :D I am getting some freaky visualizations about it in my head right now! :)

Anyway.. Jenson Button.. did he steal my heart?

No he stole the Number 1. Let's just say, i don't like his personality, but I respect people like him. I find him slightly amusing as well.

I think he is very sneaky, but to his praise he is HIGHLY INTELLIGENT! He is a smart man; even to a level where I have begun to get the impression he is very dishonest at times (it's just me). I also think we should realize the fact that Button is a strategic driver (Hamilton is tactical). He plans his races, and he always sticks to the plan.
One can presume he has moulded himself into driving this way due to experience, and knowing that he is not the fastest. I mean lets look back on the Honda years: When you are in a car as slow as that, you KNOW you can't win on pace, so for every race you have to dedicate your mind into THINKING of roundabout ways (calculating) to get your car up the field; using whatever resources, opportunities, conditions and tricks (sneaky ones at times) to get any advantage. Basically think like a desperate man..This gives Jenson Button a formidable mental tool set. The disadvantage is that when his "JB Processor" gets charged with too many things to calculate his brain goes into limp mode and he just "holds station" and hopes that something happens or he panics and makes a last dive.

Keep in mind though, this strategic thinking is not exclusive to Jenson Button. IMO, any intelligent driver can learn these skills with experience being the prerequisite.

Also, this not to say he is slow, Button is NO SLOUCH. It is only the Brilliance of Hamilton's blinding speed and tactics that is keeping Button behind with these types of regulations. (Hamilton only has 3.5 years experience) I mean, I was one of those that said Button will be destroyed by Hamilton. It's a reasonable prediction, but I did not account for mechanical failures and general bad luck. He is being dominated on pace though, that is a fact. So he won't be destroyed this year, maybe next year.

Overall I think Button is the right mind for Hamilton's brain to fight.

-p.s.- Yes, I think this is a battle of the minds. Speed, Hamilton has already won that Battle, but if he beats the shrewd Button this year, Hamilton will show that the "Brain cell shakedown" of Uncle Ron's experiment is a successful stage, it may not be in flying colours but "PASS" should be good enough. He is almost complete. :cloud9:

Well, if the collission was Massa's fault then I'd agree it was Massa. Though it wasn't. :hehe:

As for the Vettel line...well I'm praying it's not going to happen today! :yikes:

Well, technically it was Massa's car that broke Lewis's, of course it wasn't really his fault, but it's different to Monza last year for example where Lewis spun himself out of the race, if Massa wasn't there Lewis wouldn't have broken his suspension (I think it was).
