Now because of my generation I don't know all the constructors that have been in F1. I do however think that the most successful team who have never won a grand prix off the top of my head was toyota. They had 13 podiums altogether, with 2005 being their most successful season with 5 podiums and 4th place in the constructor's championship. I'd love to hear if there are any more.

you could say minardi was successful, they lasted how long in F1 compared to other teams that did win.

Yer I feel sorry for Martin because he put so much in to the sport and still does. I think the most successful team never to win the WCC would obviously be Red Bull at the moment which of course may change soon but I think Jordan probably are in that sense.

I guess so, I mean I was thinking more on the lines of successful results ie. podiums and consecutive points finishes and good reliability. I'm just suprised arrows lasted so long!

A few more: BAR, Jaguar, Sauber(if considering the seasons before BMW bought a good part of it - so I think up to 2005) and Toyota.

That's just because the current point system awards more point than usual.
With the "standard" point system Mercedes would still be quite far away.

Wiki and google...how did we survive before them?

I really am awful at remembering all the little bits and bobs of F1 though. I can recall a lot of other stuff, but hard stats just don't compute in my female brain

Surely it's gotta be Sauber and then BAR?! Sauber were consistently a quick team for many many years but never quite got there. BAR were really good in 2004.

I think their car last season was relatively speaking a better car than the 2005 one. I'd have loved to see what they could have done this season.

And the best, imo. He could have won at Canada in 1992 but retired through reliability.
