They really aren't at the bottom,

One driver knows the team is backing him over his team mate. I cant think of another team on the grid where a driver is favoured in this way!

In all seriousness, do you really believe that?

It'll probably come into play more next year when Massa knows he's gotta be on it from the off,

Looking at the races though, he's kinda been more or less where he's been all season, just behind Alonso in quali, doing a solid job when Alonso's dropped back due to mistakes. Only Spa seems to me to have some ground for Massa to actually have improved on if he had won in Germany, ok at Monza he made a good start and might have gained first had there been more room on the track.

Yes, I havent seen a driver pull over for his team mate in any other team this year. Massa has the raw end of the deal.

That's not the only way a team can "impose" a team order at all!

I was actually referring to your comment that you "can't think of another team that would favour one driver over their other driver". Do you really believe that, or have I just misunderstood you?

you carefully left out IN THIS WAY

OK, so you do think other teams favour their drivers - but they do it in "other ways"? Have I got that one right?

Absolutely not! You're fully entitled to believe that Ferrari is the only team using team orders.

I was simply asking you, if you really believe that no other team favours a driver in any way (if it helps you answer, lets keep it in reference to current drivers)? I'm kinda surprised you just can't give an answer to the question.

Well, how highly do you value making him happy

You know, I've noticed the most "highly strung" conversations (best way I could think to put it,) tend to come in the "off" week between a grand prix weekend. Think we all probably get a little board without the absolute overload of information and stimulus that appears in a grand prix weekend.

In the top teams I can't think of another team favouring one over the other. In the mids, maybe Kubica is getting the preference, and Schumi may have been getting it, but I think Nico has proven himself and has pulled equal in the team's favour... I am finding it hard to identify other teams.

Mclaren certainly talk the talk... let's see if they can walk the walk.

they have been, dont worry they wont make one of their drivers pull over for the other! Thats the only thing that will piss either one of them off as they are both getting equal equipment both Lewis and Jenson have stated this over and over and are liking the current working relationship within the team.

sure... they can have all that with wine, under candlelight and a nice ambience music... But what they really have to have is the WDC + WCC. ;)

you can be cynical all you like fact of the matter is they have two drivers who both know they have a shot at winning the title. Cant say the same about your team! Who I would put down the bottom of best team mates!

ha ha
I know its cynical... but what can I do. Can't really say the Maccas are better if the Red Bulls are bringing home the results in 'spectacular' fashion. Also, the talk as sweet as it is... still doesnt mean its all real or that things will be smooth and nice when the times come to make difficult choices.

The Ferrari guys are not having many dinners and candlelights together though... but I think Alonso stopped playing playstation with his teammates once he met Lewis :p

Nah, I think his playmates dumped him long before that. Go ask Fisichella

Here, it's pretty much a given that everyone agrees, Ferrari will favor a driver to ensure the team will win. I certainly do and I hope they continue doing it, but I think they don't care which driver they favour, they will only do it, if it's needed to protect the win or achieve a win. I don't think Ferrari favours one driver over the other as an SOP.

So I'll ask you Bubbie, (as Bud didn't answer), do you (or anyone else) think that either of the other front runners (McLaren or RBR) have favored either of their drivers in any ways? Lets not go into ancient history, stick to stuff related to current drivers?

If you watch the Italian GP race edit on the Official Formula One website there is a radio clip in which Vettel is swearing as Webber overtakes him. I think if that doesnt show his competitiveness against his teammate i dont know what does.

Also i think he might have been swearing thinking that the team had done something to mess with his car and given preferential treatment to Webber, but thats just a thought and most likely untrue.

geez youre annoying, whats it matter to you what I think anyway? :hehe: I think i have already answered your query anyway and that is NO. Redbull might have favoured Seb somewhat but not in the way Ferrari favour Alonso, they are on a different level!
