once can be ok. A warning... but 2-3 times that's a bit too much.
Should be a Drive-through for the 3rd time or even 2nd time. i think they have to change it for next yr.

The Italian GP was certainly good for both drivers that were in danger of being left behind, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. It would have been to see Jenson win the race but Ferrari were too quick; of course it didn't help that Alonso lopped off part of Jenson's rear diffuser through the first chicane. Massa proved that he is near enough to Alonso's speed trading fastest lap times, it was interesting to see Button, Alonso and Massa trading fastest laps in the first half of the race. Nico Rosberg outperformed his car today; I have been impressed with Rosberg this year, didn't rate him at all before he joined Mercedes. Fourth and Sixth is a good result for Red Bull; sixth is enough to take Mark Webber back to the top of the championship table; I feel Mark's frustration getting stuck behind Hulkenberg especially when Hulkenberg cut the chicane basically baulking Webber on the exit of the chicane, I believe that should have been a drive through penalty for the Williams. Finally, Lewis, what were you thinking? I believe he went into the race in the wrong mindset; he was clearly unhappy with the teams decision to not use the F-duct, that was obviously after qualifying. A race can not be won in the first corner but it can be lost as proved today. Lewis needed to go into damage limitation mode given the disadvantage he had not using the F-duct, 12 or 10 points today would have kept him at the top of the championship table! Again the new points system can be seen as a success given that it's all change in the table, suddenly five drivers are potentially one win away from topping the drivers table!

I think they were taking into consideration that Webber wasn't likely to pass or he got out of the chicane with the same distance he had going in. I agree though, the fact that it happened twice was questionable.

I wonder if Webber could have taken the challenge to Vettle had he gotten past Nico the first time around... he did gap him quickly once past.

That had script written all over it. Immediately after Webber passes him, Vettle goes on and puts up his fastest lap of the race. Engine trouble like that should happen more often.

I thought it was rigged when it first happened-that they'd switched allegience to Webber because he was in a stronger position, but that didnt add up when Vettel did his staying out strategy. But this new way of looking at it, that it was all a way to get Vettel higher, I'd not thought of that. It seems a little far fetched but why was Webber so downbeat after the race? The looked livid when he was interviewed and actually todays result was ace for him.

For the second consecutive race, Webber had a start problem. He dropped six places at the start but came sixth so he probably thinks he could have contended for the win without that hiccup at the beginning. And he lost four points advantage over his teammate.

Hulk block Webber, Hulk not give position up. Stewards not punish Hulk.

He said it was his decision to go f-ductless, and said he regretted it, he said it was his mistake at lesmos, so can't be faulted for not owning up to things.

In the end, there's 22 other drivers on the grid that would gladly trade their WDC points with Lewis'. So he got away with a considerably less painful DNF than what it could have been.

I just had a thought; if Jenson wasn't taken out of the race in Spa by Vettel; he would now be ahead of Alonso by 17pts and just 4pts off Hamilton in the Championship! Being taken out of the race in Spa could well cost him a second world title this year; all thanks to Vettel!

Hmmm it seems the difference will be minimal come the last race. So for all of them, they will likely be able to point at a single incident and say "that was the title". Except Alonso and maybe Vettel... they got a few more of those costly WTFs.

I agree with you,this boy changed everything.Once again!Thats what makes me his fan even he annoys me sometimes
And i didnt speculate that Hülkenberg could be that good.Maybe he is rising?

Jensons had 2 Dnfs now, neither of them his fault, Luckily we'll see him getting a bit more agressive over the end of the season rather than playing his usual numbers game.

you say it like Jenson has had a lot of bad luck ;D even though he has had maybe least problems of all the title contenders, Lewis' car has given up on him twice, Vettel has had some major reliability issues, Alonso wasn't lucky in Valenica and in SPA rubens took him out etc etc.

I love this season! It all seems a kind of... do well in one GP/oops cancel out that good result.

We had Jens two weeks ago/Lewey this week. The Red Bull guys are pretty consistent in the oops good/bad week category.

And there's Alonso and Massa, just slogging through it all.

I can't wait for the next few GP's

I thought it was interesting to hear Brundle say that Alonso was the most popular driver since Gilles Villeneuve. I didn't expect that at all. Perhaps AKR or someone can confirm/deny that one...?

Great drives from both Alonso and Button today. The pressure and pace was unrelenting and they both held up to it brilliantly.

A quick mention for Hulkenburg too - he did have all those excursions today but had geniunely decent pace otherwise, and more importantly, has had the measure of Barrichello seemingly all weekend. At a track Rubens has traditionally gone very well at too... The Hulk is starting to progress very well indeed, imo.

Understandably a lot of Ferrari talk, but...
