Hope it won't be back to Redbull domination, what teams are planning major upgrades?

Championship looks fantastic now, really looking forward to the remaining races.

Mclaren!
Please god whoever you are let these upgrades rival red bull. and im trying to forget Monza too for exactly the same reason, Koba ad Lewis are my two drivers and they both went out straight away, on bloody tifosi turf aswell

There's going to be cars strewn all over the place with carbon shards everywhere and the safety car will be out often. Lewis had a flawless race last year, and Alonso is very consistent there, we'll know soon enough.

I think a DNF for any of the top five there and it may be the nail on the coffin of their WDC hopes.

All hopes on McLaren getting the floor and DD working ASAP. If they're not close to Redbull in Singapore, focus on next years car.

I've heard that both ferrari drivers and red bull drivers are on their last engine and still have 4 more races to go. I don't know of any other team's engine counts but Pedro De La Rosa is on his 9th. We might see engine reliability be abig factor in the last few races which will add a whole new strategy to it all.

Heidfeld linked with Sauber return

Nick Heidfeld is on the verge of an early return to Formula 1 this season, AUTOSPORT has learned, with sources suggesting that he is close to a deal that could see him drive for Sauber from the Singapore Grand Prix.

The German has been on the sidelines this year, having originally been test driver for Mercedes GP before recently assuming the development role for Pirelli.

However, sources have suggested that Heidfeld is now close to agreeing a deal that could see him back in a race seat for the next event in Singapore.

It is understood that if a deal is agreed then Sauber may move Pedro de la Rosa aside for the final flyaway events - with Kamui Kobayashi's place at the team secure now that he has a contract with the outfit for 2011.

Team principal Peter Sauber declined to say anything about the situation when asked in Italy on Sunday.

"I do not wish to make any comment about our drivers," he told AUTOSPORT.

Heidfeld has spent seven seasons in total racing for Sauber, during two separate spells. He competed for the outfit between 2001 and 2003 and then from 2006 to 2009.

De la Rosa returned to F1 this season after three years on the sidelines, and has scored six of the team's 27 points.

Nobody laugh but I'm interested to see what Virgin will do, Their turning up with a major update which they recon will get them on the same footing as Torro Rosso. Their pushing to get a 12th place, they need it too beat the 2 other new teams.

I'm not laughing. It would make first qualifying a lot more interesting if there was more than just the one question mark over who goes out.

Red Bull will reassert their dominance, barring unexpected misfortune (which should actually be expected the way this season is going! :hehe: ). The only guys who will probably be able to get near them on raw pace are the Ferraris, again - and if you remember back to 2008 Massa took pole by a huge 6/7 tenth margin, which suggests he can shift it around there. I don't know if McLaren have actually sorted out the suspension/ride height problem they've had at a few races, but it might cause them problems over the bumps. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Mercs and especially Kubica got amongst the top 6 too.
