I don't think any driver deserves to crash out. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Lewis admit his mistake.
But, really, this is now the 3rd time Lewis has hit a car from behind. Accidents can and do happen in F1, but 3 times in less than a season?
As I said elsewhere, Michael was given a 10 grid place penalty for his actions at Hungary, dangerous indeed but he didn't make contact. This being the 3rd time Lewis has done this, and from behind which gives the victim no warning. Perhaps this should be looked into a further.

Alonso hit a car from behind in todays race, unlike Lewis he damaged the car he hit not his own car. Vettel managed to harpoon a car on a straight in the sidepod with the pointy bit of his nose!! Come on get things in perspective!!

Mate, I know you are super defensive about Lewis, but, I mentioned that accidents do happen. But, even you, with all your best Lewis glasses on must realize how ordinary his move was today. And, the perspective is that this isn't an isolated incident. It's three times this season - so far. If nothing is done, and he continues with this reckless style of driving, someone could get seriously hurt.

Lewis will be back!!!, and whether it was his mistake or not, he will always have my full 100% support, and nothing will change that, so i think this is where the true fans show their colours!!!,

COME ON LEWIS YOU CAN STILL DO IT!!! :D

That's the spirit, of course he can still do it. I personally think people are giving the redbull car to much repect for these last tracks.

Unless Lewis gets anymore DNF it will still be between him and Webber. I don't care what RedBull say, that front wing is not the same type of wing that was bending all over the place in previous races.

They made a mistake with set up on Lewis car and you can bet that wont happen again.

Lewis thrives on these types of knockbacks, he comes back stronger. Jake and MB plus DC really don't want Lewis to win although DC did just say he saw it as just an unlucky racing incident.

Im not your mate and Im not defending Lewis. He made a mistake, just like all the other racing drivers have. He hasnt made many this season, today he did. Mark Webber drove over Heikki, Vettel took out his team mate and Jenson. Alonso has made countless mistakes this season. Jenson has made the least I would hazzard. If you dont want to see cars crash you're watching the wrong sport.

Get real and stop being a drama queen. How was it reckless,he was going for it. The wheels could of just rubbed together as MB said, it was unlucky.

I wonder if you feel the same way about Vettel or Micheal suck balls macker, probably not.

Yes, Lewis does thrive under adversity but he has to be careful if he wants to get better results. You make your own luck, good and bad, and although Lewis was unlucky to break his front suspension he put himself in the position for it to happen, as he admitted. Did he deserve it? Others have done the same and escaped unscathed so, no, he didn't deserve it. But there was always a chance that it was going to end in tears. But that's Hamilton.

 , tell him how it is racechick, looks like lewis going out in lap 1 still wasnt enough for some people, trying to rub salt in a fresh wound are we spanky?
i seem to recall alonso jump starting, kerb spinnning, and monaco free practice crashing so far this season, what difference is doing that to nudging cars a mere 3 times in 13 odd races. Even better research how many overtakes Lewis has made this season and you can only manage to catch him on nudges, oh dear oh dear.
Just enjoy the fact he crashed out today and i expect you totake it like a man come his future WDC's.

Im not your mate...

Mateship rejection noted

...and Im not defending Lewis.

You could have fooled me (and practically the rest of the universe)

You are missing the point - Lewis is a serial offender, people have been punished for far less. I'm somewhat surprised that Charlie seems to have somehow overlooked this one, yet he was onto Vettel with a penalty last race and also Michael, as I mentioned, from Hungary.

If you dont want to see cars crash you're watching the wrong sport.

Please don't misrepresent, I clearly stated I know accidents happen. However, I don't want to see people hurt, no matter what sport I support, and blindly supporting someone at the risk of causing more and worse accidents doesn't help F1.

I'm not against overtaking but Hamilton deserved that, he is way too reckless and i was waiting for that to happen.

SHIIT YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our celebrations today began with Hamilton going out at the start. Then we (My friends and I) waited patently for Alonso to get ahead of Button to win the race............................................................................................

Ive forgotten where Alonso is in the championship?
Is he top now?[/quote

Webber is top
Fernando is moving up
Lewis is moving down

You're right, people are super sensitive to absolutely any criticism of Lewis here.
Think I've put my case clearly enough in my post above.
I get absolutely no joy from the fact that Lewis, or anyone else, crashes out.

:scratchchin: ...spankyham you've been a little hot under the collar there, you're going to turn that pig into bacon if you're not careful.

You've come into the forum with the same win the race by turn one philosophy you seem to detest in Lewis.

How about you go find my post where i told somone off for passing Hamilton today as a racing incident that couldve happened to anyone, i told them that it was clearly a mistake that someone like him should know better about, and im his biggest fan!
Im fed up of people sitting in a dark room with forums loaded up going insane that Hamiltons performing so well and then pouncing the moment he makes a rare mistake, everyone here has given Alonso, Button credit today cause its due but its not enough for the tifosi, they need to highlight just how badly Lewis performed in order to make themselves feel better about how hes beating their favourite driver/team.
Lewis made me turn off my tv for the first time in 2 years watching F1 thats how pissed i was with his stupid mistake, so dont gimme Lewis cant be criticised, cause on every forum im a member of, there are archives worth amount of threads on how rubbish Lewis is.

No, what you've put forward is a complete rejection of anyone else's transgressions and a single-minded focus on Hamilton's alleged misdemeanours. It would be amusing if it weren't so very, very sad.

spanky ham take your goggles off jesus christ. its pathetic.

a racing incident is very different to what MSC did in hungary

lewis 3 times in a season REALLY ? its not as if alonso has put it into a barrier 3 times or taken his team mate out of the points or been far to agressive for his own good is it .

please get some perspective. your posts are so warped.

Hmmm that' some nice spirit... of course he can still do it; but i dont think any of the WDC contenders simply needs no more DNFs. With 3 teams being able to step on the podium, and seemingly Renault and Williams not that far... mistakes or a poor performance can set anybody quite a few steps back...

As for Lewis crash... it was just a completely normal racing thing. It happens to everyone and anyone. No big deal. He is over aggressive and its not the first time, it will probably not be the last either... so what's the point?
