You know what... i've found i dont dislike Lewis that much. I really dont mind him, and think he does a good job and is a reasonably nice guy. He used to be much more annoying, but really has levelled and definitely grown a lot. Maybe the not so succesful last season brought him back to earth... but he's not a bad guy at all.

Lewis' not so successful last season had to do with a not so successful car. He actually had the winningest 2nd half of the season of any other driver.

Like a lot of things in life, you learn a lot more from a loss than you ever learn from a win.

The Lewis going to Ferrari part was discussed earlier, I diddn't quote that part, but quoted that becuase the first part of my post was in response to it and looks like I forgot to quote the second part to make it clear what I was referring to there.

Fair enough

In the beginning of the 2010 season with all the hype about 4 WDC on board and all of the fireworks we'd see, it certainly started out slow, but three way fights are way more exciting than two way fights. I'm glad Ferrari is back in the mix.

I can't imagine what next year might bring if Mercedes shows up with a contender of a car.

I'll be hoping for a one Ferrari two McLaren podium tomorrow. Go MAGNANIMOUS Go!

Guys why is everyone hating on Vettel's race starts? I believe it was Mr. Hamilton that actually gave him a puncture at the start and not the other way around.

Btw, im still banking on Yamamoto coming in and taking out half the field and allowing Kobayashi to win.

Lewis has actually tagged Vettel from behind twice this year

Jenson's using the F-duct but who else has gone this route?

Most teams have elected to use the F-Duct from what I saw in Q; the notable exception is Lewis Hamilton. He seemed to be downbeat in the post Q interviews so I guess he doesn't rate his chances very highly but that said how often have we seen Hamilton manhandle an ill handling car around the track to score big points; that's his strength!

Ferrari and RB are using a different F-Duct. It is smaller on a flatter wing. In very simplistic terms, its like halfway between Jensen and Lewis.

I found this data really interesting. Its the top speeds of the cars at the trap.
The two fastest are the Torro Rossos with JA with a 348 and SB with a 346.
Next is Lewis with a 344
Massa and Alonso are 10th and 11th with 341's
Webber has 339 while Vettel has 336
Jenson is 22nd with a 329
Some of the things I'd read into that.
Felipe and Fernando will need to be patient and, with their setup, the race should come to them. Their setup, theoretically will be easier on their brakes and tyres.
I suspect Jenson will be using a lot more brake (stress on both brakes and tires) than any of the other front runners. He should though get much better corner speed - entrance and exit. So with a tow he should have an advantage for passing.
Lewis's car won't have the downforce he's been used to, to keep it stable, will he be able to keep that under control considering he has a habit this year of tagging cars in front of him?
You'd guess from the trap speeds that Vettel has more wing (downforce) than Webber and therefore a little more stability. But, my guess is that whilst Vettel will push very hard to get as many points as possible, Mark probably has a strategy of get points but take no risks - this isn't a track that's suited to my car but there are a swag of tracks coming up where I should be back at the top (unless those lovely red cars keep improving :) )

Actually, the inverse is true.

Spot on, I meant less. He should be able to brake later etc etc etc, I did explain that with the tow and pass description.
On a side note it looks like I've found my Mr "Catch-me-whenever-I-can" for the Forum - Thanks Jb

That is interesting, compare them to the Q spots.

Especially the Toro Rosso's, ferrari power!

Nice to see Ferrari fans giving Lewis some props, long time from seeing non-biased comments in F1 forum :D

I never doubted he was an astonishing driver, I just thought he was a touch too arrogant both in and out of the car.
But now he is not so much anymore. Good. :)

And you support the Ferrari drivers? :yikes::yikes::yikes:

OUt of curiosity, how old are you? Judging from your posts, I had the perception you'd be late 20s at least. It's a compliment, by the way.
