Ah yes...my bad. At Spa, we had Steve Slater (commentator on Star Sports) who was practically shouting everytime a driver in an F-duct car went through Eau rouge, emphasising how brave they are. :hehe:

Just read an interesting bit in F1 Racing magazine regarding Monza.

Entering Turn 1, the cars slow by 143 mph over 132 metres and in about two seconds. Brake rotor temps jump immediately to 1200°C. The brakes have no servo assist so the drivers must apply a force of 140 kg, roughly twice their own body weight with their left leg (IIRC, Rubens is the only remaining right-foot braker). As the car slows, the lessening airflow means the car loses downforce equal to the weight of an Asian elephant, or the same as 26 passengers getting out of the car.

Gawd, I love this sport!

Wow, that's really interesting!

Thank you for that :)

very interesting, also i didn't realise Ruben's was the only right foot breaker left.

Yup, he never got the hang of it and stuck to his guns throughout his F1 career.

God, i hate Steve Slater SOOOO much.

He is the most over dramatic commentator in the world. If you are betting man, you better not watch F1 in Asia with the volume on or you will surely get a heart attack.

"AND MARK WEBBER HAS LOST THE LEAD TO KOBAYASHI"

No thats Kobayashi overtaking Buemi in 18th place.

OMG i hate this kind of commentators. We have a commentator like Slater,i dont know his name and he isnt the commentator in races so often. In Turkey race he was shouting as if one of the cars blowed up when Vettel and Webber crashed. He was also incohorent when he speaks.Once he said that he didnt know the climate in the Asia side of Istanbul because he lives in Europe side. Then he said:'It might rain a lot as i know the weather here.'

The French commantators I listened to when watching the Belgium grand prix were the best, diddn't understand most of it, but they were excitable fellows.

when in rome trying to watch the valencia race in a cafe' I SWEAR the commentators were talking over the feed of jonathan legard and martin brundle, so confusing when you can faintly hear the english underneath the italian guys shouting about lewis's drive through lol.

it wasnt rai it was some random sat channel.

That's one of the reasons I find watching the Tour de France bicycle race such a jolly good time.

I hear you. I am a BIG fan of Chris Goodwin though, too bad the guy who had sense has quit the box and doing something else now. I think he got sick of Slater's sheer stupidity.

Loved the good ole days with Chandhok. Unfortunately BBC has snapped him up after seeing his talent. But atleast he isnt as bad as Steve Dawson. He spoke at my school and actually admitted after a few questions that he knows close to nothing about Formula One.

I guess when your F-duct system is working very well, this could be an option. It's going to be very interesting in qualifying!
