It's a close call for McLaren. Widely reputed to have the best F-duct, and having a track which has minimal use of wings...

Hope for a dry Friday so they can get clear from the start on which way to get through the weekend.

McLaren consistently have the fastest car by ultimate top speed, which is important at Monza. It's very unlikely the Red Bull will suddenly be better than the McLaren in that area.

Force India could be worth a gamble for a podium again

McLaren consistently have the fastest car by ultimate top speed, which is important at Monza. It's very unlikely the Red Bull will suddenly be better than the McLaren in that area.

For once I agree with Jensonb; McLaren and other Mercedes powered cars have the advantage as the Merc engine is the most powerful, I would say that McLaren and Force India have the initiative at Monza as both have their F-Duct working at optimum efficiency. Red Bull will be up there but a win is going to be a long shot unless McLaren drop the ball!

To clarify, McLaen is taking both an F-Duct and an F-Duct-free spec of the top bodywork to Monza and will evaluate both.

Monza, long straight and sweeping corners, I would say McLaren territory; also Force India will be up there; infact I wouldn't be surprised by a Force India win if their drivers can get their act together. Red Bull will struggle here I believe as they don't have the top speed of McLaren unless they run a very low wing setup which could be very detrimental in the high speed corners; struggling with understeer! I believe Renault will be strong here as well; I expect another podium for Robert Kubica. I can't see Ferrari featuring on the podium, home advantage or not, so I'm going for:

1. Hamilton 2. Button 3. Sutil 4. Kubica 5. Webber 6. Vettel 7. Alonso 8. Massa 9. Petrov 10. Kobayashi

Probably a Ferrari/Mclaren battle, still we very well could have a RB on podium, I don't underestimate them. Another win for Lewis would be AWESOME because next races McLaren will have a hard time fighting for podiums. Anyways I predict Alonso/Lewis battle for this race, it would be great

The low down-force should produce a good race at least, I guess McLaren would be up there. I wonder how Renault would do. The redbulls just seem strong everywhere tbh, Vettel was clearly faster than Button, and Webber managed poll. Admittedly they don't seem to know how to produce a fast start though.

Fernando reckons his luck will even itself out, I doubt it so it'll be another sadly eventful race for him. Maybe nothing so blatant as a car flying into him at the start, the Ferraris should be able to make a good start at least, and if Alonso's at the back again we'll get some entertainment as he uses the Ferraris excellent braking abilities to just nudge in front of random Force Indias and Saubers at the start of those chicanes.

I think it's safe to say Red Bull will be strong, they haven't had poor pace at any circuit yet. But I'm hoping McLaren have an advantage and that Ferrari manage to separate them from Red Bull.
