just look at McLaren's dip in form after he left; big money buys that sort of talent!!![/i]

McLarens dip in form happened while he was there thinking of Yachts! Like from 02 03 04 while in 05 he was not there but his Zero Keel innovation was on the McLaren and that year had the fastest yet fragile car, sound similar to Redbull's RB6? 06 McLaren were caught out by the tyre rules reverting back to sprint tyres, and ofcourse 07,08 great form, 09 pegged it back. McLaren did alright without him i reckon.

On Redbull seeing as Webber is there most Aussie F1 fans who support Webber go for Redbull, but its like any Driver fans, they will go for the driver and which ever team he is in.

I wouldnt call the RB6 fragile. I mean it went through A LOT at Spa and still came out fighting.

Mclaren bounced back quite nicely.
But its like I said... its more about the team/management/mentality than just the $$. That's why Red Bull is doing well, because they have turned the talents they have into improving their racing team.

Can't stand Red Bull. Christian Horner is a smarmy, slimy git and the team inexplicably favours Sebastian Vettel, a man with such appalling racecraft it drives me insane, over the much more talented and deserving Mark Webber. Who I do like.

I used to drink their beverage. I stopped last year when they became the enemy, jumped ship to Monster. Which tastes better anyway.

Why the hell are they still babying Sebastian Vettel?!!Christian Horner says that the crash with Button wasnt Vettel's fault(after Istanbul Park thats once again!) He dropped 28 points of team and Horner still says that he has faith on Vettel.I wonder why they keep supporting him that much.

After that Red Bull annoys me even more.

Whats with you two? Honestly i dont think you watch Formula One or you just dont know how to read that well. First of all he didnt say it wasnt Vettel's fault. He just said that Vettel didnt do it on purpose. And I'm sure if Webber did the same thing Horner would have said the same thing.

And many of you forget the mistake Webber made in Australia when he rear ended hamilton and ruined both their races, this makes me think that you might just have an irrational hatred for Vettel.

I think people do have an irrational hatred for Vettel, and to be honest it does seem like Jensonb and efinitty are two of those.
RBR do *not* inexplicably favour Sebastian Vettel as you both claim, as I am sure they would have said the exact same words if Webber would have crashed into Button on Sunday. I am certain of that.

Also, claiming that RBR favour Vettel more than Ferrari favour Alonso is astonishing to me. I have no idea how somebody could say that if not because of an irrational hatred for Sebastian Vettel.

Well taking Marks wing and giving it to Vettel seems like favouritism to me? not sure what else i would call it! Also blaming Mark for the instanbul crash instead of being indifferent to the media and not blame either one!

They havent asked Mark to pull over like Ferrari did with Alonso, but they have done nearly everything esle in the book!

Massa ran a different rear wing from Fernando in the last race at Spa.
Lewis ussually ran updates that Heikki didnt.
So Vettel is a Red Bull protege? so is Lewis. Not just a Mclaren protege, but his team principal's protege.

Where was the fuss?

didnt know we were talking about 2009 still but ok? McLaren were upfront with whom they gave new parts too, They openly said they only have one part and gave it to Lewis as he was ahead in the title race. most of the time they were developing so many new parts to work on the cars -2 seconds pace that they only flew one part in over night on a GP weekend. They never gave a part to Heikki then took it off of him to give to Lewis. I think that would piss any driver off! It was poor management by Redbull.

on the rear wing with Massa didnt know that, you saying Ferrari gave Massa the latest spec wing over Fernando? Were was Fernando's "think about the championship" mentality on that one? :hehe:

BTW i didn't Realise Lewis Hamilton is Martin Whitmarsh's protégé...

Yes. Poor management. Nothing more. the reason i gave the examples was to show that similar things can be done... without pissing the drivers off and creating fuss ;)

Maybe it was slower

Ahem... Ron dennis. At the time. So if it is "bad" and "favouritism" to be a team's protege....... then how come nobody from "in camp" said any different when it was done then? ? ? even though few can argue who is more influential between Helmut Marko and Dennis in their respective teams.......

Ahem. I need to introduce you to a concept called subjectivity. Just because you disagree with someone, it doesn't mean their opinion is irrational, just that it is different.

Quite so!
As to the question posed by this thread. I expect a lot of people do.
For me RBR is a very hard team to like. The management are mealy-mouthed and they just don't appeal. Sorry.

I loosely "support" Mark Webber because the guy is not only bloody fast, but he's had a struggle to to make it to the top. If a McLaren can't win this year I really hope Webber does.

Ok; then take away the word "irrational" from my post and read it again.

Hope Mark wins this years as I really can't be bothered with Vettel, who IMO ain't as good as he thinks he is.
Not a fan of Red Bull as a team TBH but Webber is a decent guy who should be given the teams backing for the championship now.
