Fancy Red Bull to run out of engines towards the end of the season. Hamilton to win the WDC from Webber

Ferrari are in the worst shape of all, engine-wise. Alonso and Massa both ran their seventh engines today. The rumour is they will fit #8 for Monza. The likelihood of completing the six remaining races on one engine is very, VERY slim.

They can still use the previous ones unless they are all blown off, which I don't think is the case.
They will just use a fresh engine for Monza and use used engines for Singapore, Brazil etc.

Obviously it's better to have used 6 engines rather than 7, but they can do it without any penalty unless things go wrong.

Unless I'm misreading them, TR 28.4.e and TR 34.1 state that once an engine is used, if removed, it may not be used again in qualy or race until the final race of the season.

Then again, the terminology used is (typically FIA) vague.

I didn't think it the case and that the teams could use old engines as they please - we'll find out soon.

They can use them but they cost 10 grid places each.

They have 8 engines available. How they are going to use those 8 engines is up to them.

I stand corrected. The engines Ferrari removed before the season opener in Bahrain were run in the race in China.

Spa- Mclaren -Much talk of Red Bull dominating the second sector but with two huge straights after Eau Rouge and leading up to Bus stop Mclaren should be all over it, this is not to mention the superior race pace of Mclaren should they qualify just behind Red Bull, AND, Vettel/Webbers poor starts and Hamilton/Buttons good starts.

You called it, FRAF.

FRAFPDD - our resident psychic. :)

It not psychic its jsut whats happened all year predicted again :D F-duct= more speed on straight+ 2/3 of Spa straight= Mclaren
Red Bull have had poor starts in almost every Grand Prix.

As long as i get 3/4 of my prediction right im happy lol

Well, you were wrong, because it wasn't a poor start by Webber, it was an abysmal start! :D

Spa - Ferrari.

Monza - Mclaren/Ferrari.

Singapore - Red Bull.

Suzuka - Red Bull.

Korea - who knows... so Red Bull.

Brazil - Ferrari / Red Bull.

Abu Dhabi - Speed racer.

I would say I agree with pretty much everything - with quite a bit of hope - except Monza.
I am not sure McLaren will be fast there.. they don't have the F-Duct advantage.. I don't know..

Also, for Spa I would say Ferrari/Red Bull.

Spa - McLaren. FRAFPDD 1, f1ea/Dragon 0.

Care to take off your rose-red tinted spectacles and reassess your predictions, gentlemen?

What are you insinuating? f1ea's predictions there were/are fair enough.

Apart from Spa obviously, but it's easy to say things in hindsight.
