Can't help thinking that there'll be a few grid penalties to absorb for Monza. Certainly Vettel and Alonso will be more than a little nervous at the moment. Any thought's out there?

Do you mean the pitlane incident? They didn't show it on replay to us, was it really that serious considering all the action that has happened on pitlane this season, like Lewis/Vettel in China.

whoooooooops and there goes Ferrari's WDC chances. 2011 it is.

Terrible move by Barrichelo taking out alonso in L1, dont think he should get any further reprimand as everybody went off there so i guess there was nothing to do but hope you dont catch anyone on the slide.... Barrichello caught a ferrari and there went alonso's title run...

Jensons DEFINITELY had a shot at winning the race... he must be overwhelmingly bummed.

Vettel is going to be mentally out of the championship. So only Webber and Lewis remain... with Webber having the advantage, because with the exception of Monza Red Bull is just too strong. Maybe Vettel can play the wingman and do some Hammy bashing ? It will definitely not look planned.....

Good drives by the Renaults and Sutil.

Hmmm, just watched the incident again...water on the camera. I wonder if their was also water on the track and if so, maybe, just maybe, that might have caused the spin. Oh, wait a McLaren boy was the one knocked out so it has to be completely the opposing drivers fault.

As i said in one of my previous posts it could have been water that caused the accident but it was still a mistake by Vettel that caused him to crash.

And for me it doesn't really have anything to do with what drivers were involved it was more the fact a mistake by one driver has caused problems for a driver who was competing for the WDC.

It could have been Trulli who took out Button my posts would be identical if Trulli had made so many mistakes this season.

Maybe we should stop discussing this since you clearly wont admit Vettel was even slightly in the wrong so lets agree to disagree.

It was said to be under investigation just before Alonso spun out. So I guess if a penalty is to be awarded, it would have to be at the next race.

Alonso  or do you mean Barrichello?

But yeah like ivey says, the pit lane exit rule has been totally unenforced all throughout the season, so nothing to think about for that...... there's supposed to be a new rule of not releasing a car when another is coming; but i think it was only watched in the first race and never again...........

What a wicked GP. Now the WDC is tuned in heavily for either Lewis, or the other guy I wouldn't mind winning it. :D

Alonso :D:D:D

Perfect!!!!!!!!

oaba- If you are going to try to use my words to go after me at least use the words I actually said. I guess you, like peng, prefer to make things up in order to claim an internet victory. I am done with you as well. I am sure you, like your buddy peng will need to get in a last word, enjoy it.

Now back to the topics: Why would Alonso get a penalty when Rubens clearly slid into him and the race control said the review was on those two cars in that corner?

Well that was eventful. As was expected, Hamilton took it out, good drive by Webber to keep out of trouble and salvage 2nd after a horror start, it's all about damage limitation at the moment and if Webber can stay close to Hamilton in terms of points after Monza, then he has an excellent chance. As for Vettel, well, he just keeps making crucial errors - he needs to pull his head in. But anyway, onwards! :)

It was mentioned in my coverage that Alonso and Vettel were under investigation for the pit exit which will be looked at later. I guess at some point somebody's got to make a stand and say no more dangerous releases before somebody gets hurt seriously.

The only thing I saw was the official notification thing which said at the turn the incident that knocked Rubens out occurred.

Couldn't give a toss about getting in the last words, all i wanted from you was your view on the accident something you still wont give and instead post rubbish.

I haven't made anything up unless your referring to my comment about if you think Button was at fault which considering you don't think Vettel was at fault must mean it was Button or maybe we could blame Hamilton for the crash? (yes i am being sarcastic again).

Again if it was any other driver my comments would be the same, also i believe Vettel was at fault because he attempted an overtake misjudged the distance to the corner which caused the problem and through water on the track, loss of traction or divine retribution it caused Vettel to lose control and hit Button.
At the end of the day it was still Vettel who caused the accident by making a mistake.

If you feel that is wrong explain to me what you think happened and why the accident happened.

I think i have been quite pleasant in this discussion as i am usually more aggressive in my posts and all you have done is insult me and ignore/avoid my posts.

Really?
Thats weird. i did see the Barrichelo one to be investigated after the race... the pit lane thing... thats nothing. It has not been enforeced at all, so dont think they will start now; specially since the 2 concerned crashed out anyway....
